What's In the Mail?

Yesterday afternoon, I got a nice surprise left at the doorstep ― a package from Amazon! It kinda stumped my brain for a little bit as I knew I hadn't ordered anything from Amazon. It turns out the package was a gift from my friend from North Carolina who sent me two books for Christmas. The books are: A Long Walk To Water by Linda Sue Parker and The Girl Who Lived by Christopher Greyson. The Girl Who Lived is a title that my Kindle keeps suggesting I should buy so I'm excited to get a paperback of it. I've never heard of A Long Walk To Water, which is short novella, but it looks interesting.

Thrift Store Finds

It had been several weeks since I last stopped by the thrift store in town, well, until I went there yesterday. There were several new used books there, mostly Christian romances, which I already own or weren't interested in reading. I ended up getting Crooked House by Agatha Christie; Slide, Charlie Brown! Slide! by Charles M. Schulz; and Goosebumps Series 2000: Invasion of the Body Squeezers Part 2 by R.L. Stine. There were several more Goosebumps titles there but I already have them.

What's New on the Bookshelf?

During the last three or fours weeks, I have bought several "Daily Deals" titles on my Kindle. The titles are: Horrorstor by Grady Hendrix; We Sold Our Souls by Grady Hendrix; Devour by Kurt Anderson; Marilla of Green Gables by Sarah McCoy; A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness; So Nude, So Dead by Ed McBain, Forever and a Death by Donald E. Westlake, The Safest Lies by Debra Webb, Star Wars: The Mandalorian Armor by K.W. Jeter, and Becoming The Dark Prince by Kerri Maniscalco.

  1. I’m a huge fan of Ed McBain’s 87th precinct series. I’ve collected most of them over the years.Enjoy your new additions

Wishing you a great reading week
