From its inception in 1918 and the days of Robert Ripley’s travels and broadcasts to the creation of the first BION and the company’s proud publishing history through the years after Ripley’s death to the incredible collections and the expansion into a world-class attractions company, fans and friends of the brand will be inspired, awed, and amazed. This book is a spectacular artifact of an American icon that people will want to make a part of their own collection and enjoy again and again.

Wow! This is a massive book with a beautiful dust jacket. It stars out with an introduction by Jim Davis, the creator of Garfield. (FYI: I'm a big Garfield fan!).

The book itself is split up into seven sections:

• The Man - Tells about the life and adventures of Robert Ripley.
• The Collection - Showcases some of Ripley's artifacts and pop culture memorabilia.
• The Travels - Travel to places Robert Ripley visited during his lifetime.
• The Cartoons - Ripley's Believe It Or Not! originally began as comic strip in 1918, drawn by Ripley himself.
• The Media - Over the years Ripley's Believe It Or Not! has ventured into different medias, such as books, television series, radio programs, etc..
• The Location - Learn about the many Ripley's odditoriums and attractions around the world.
• The Company -Learn about how Ripley's company has grown over the years.

Overall, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! 100 Year is a nifty book to own for any collector. It's completely different than the Ripley annuals and it mostly focuses on Robert Ripley and the history of the "Believe It Or Not!" company with many articles and many, many photos. It would make a great gift this holiday season!
