Created by Michael Dante DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko, The Legend Of Korra is set 70 years after the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The world has been separated into four different nations - the northern and southern Water Tribes, the Air Nomads, the Earth Kingdom and the Fire Nation. Few people from each tribe have the ability to bend each tribe's element (water, earth, fire & air), but only one can blend all four - the Avatar, Korra (from the Southern Water Tribe), the successor of Avatar Aang.

Despite critical acclaim for the series, the ratings started to decline during the third season, resulting in Nickelodeon airing the remaining episodes on their website. Arriving on DVD from Nickelodeon this coming Tuesday is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Retreat!, featuring the first seven episodes from the third season. Special features includes 7 Shorts: "The Mutation of a Scene."

Since its debut in 2012, TMNT has been a ratings hit for Nickelodeon, bringing in young and old fans to new incarnation. The series replaces with the traditional 2D animation with computer animation, but still has the humor that made the 1987 series so popular

Season Two ended with the four Turtles (Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael), April O'Neil and Casey Jones fleeing New York City after it was taken over by the Kraangs and Shredder. They take refuge at April's family's farmhouse. With Master Splinter left behind, the turtles feel lost, especially with Leonardo struggling to heal his wounds from the fallout. The turtles must regain their strength, so they can one day return to the city and stop their enemies once in for all.

The series' writers must have a love for old horror movies, as the first episode of the season, Within The Woods, the turtles must battle a strange plant creature wearing overalls and a feed sack (and later Casey's hockey mask). It's obvious that the producers were paying homage to the Friday the 13th films. The fifth episode, titled In Dreams, mixes elements of A Nightmare Elm Street & The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, where April & Casey must somehow figure out how to wake up the turtles, whom are all trapped in a nightmare world. Horror icons Robert England, John Kassir and Bill Mosely guest-voice in the episode.

Arriving on DVD tomorrow from Walt Disney Home Entertainment is the full-length adventure Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy. As an added bonus there are three additional episodes - The Amulet of Avalor, Princess Butterfly and The Emerald Key. Plus, it comes with a Free Color-Changing Necklace.

Sofia the First has been a big hit on Disney Junior ever since it debuted in 2013 (the pilot aired in the latter half of 2012). The series follows an eight-year-old named Sofia (voiced by Ariel Winter), whom becomes a princess when her mother marries King Roland II. She also becomes the step-sister to Princess Amber (voiced by Darcy Rose Byrnes) and Prince James (voiced by Zach Callison). The King gives her the mystical Amulet of Avalor, which gives her the ability to communicate with animals and lets her summon other Disney Princesses when needed.

The Curse of Princess Ivy marks the third television- movie (about 45 minutes) and centers on Princess Amber learning about Sofia's amulet. When Prince Amber steals the amulet, it unleashes a curse that summons the evil Princess Ivy (voiced by Anna Camp), who plans on taking the crown and turning the entire kingdom black-and-white! Princess Sofia and Princess Amber must team up with Tangled's Rapunzel (voiced by Mandy Moore) to retrieve the amulet and stop Princess Ivy.

The Amulet of Avalor (episode 14) finds the thief Cedric stealing the amulet and Princess Sofia is on the hunt to retrieve it. Princess Butterfly (episode 19) centers on Princess Amber asking Cedric to magically make her a butterfly costume for the All Hallows Eve costume ball, but the costume will not come off and it is up to Princess Sofia to save the day. An Emerald key from the kingdom of Hakalo washes up near the castle in The Emerald Key (episode 38) and it is up to Sofia to find the key's true owner.

Created by Rebecca Sugar, Steven Universe debuted on the Cartoon Network in November 2013 and it has received mostly positive reviews from critics. Clarence was created by Skyler Page and premiered last February after the Hall of Game Awards. The pilot was nominated for a Creative Arts Emmy Award. It has received high reviews from critics and animation fans.

If you have ever been channel surfing late at night, then there is probably a chance that you came across an episode of Robot Chicken on Adult Swim. The series was created by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich. It premiered in 2005 and has become a ratings hit for the Cartoon Network. The premise of each episode (runs around 11-12 minutes each) follows a sketch-comedy format, where the series spoofs cartoons, movies and pop culture.

From 1982 to 1991, twelve animated specials based on Jim Davis' comic strip Garfield aired on CBS. All of the specials have been released on DVD over the last decade, but are now out-of-print. Luckily for Garfield fans, five of the specials will appear on the Garfield Holiday Collection: Collector's Edition DVD exclusively at Walmart. Witch's Night Out centers on a witch bringing two children, Small and Tender, along with their babysitter (Bazooey) to a Halloween party that is taking place at the witch's mansion. The witch decides to show them a good time by turning them into a werewolf and Frankenstein's monster. The local citizens aren't too happy about the party and they create a mob to catch any supernatural creature.

Anyone growing up in the '80s will probably remember the overload of Saturday Morning Cartoons and weekday afternoon cartoons. Toy companies took advantage of the animation popularity and began making cartoon shows based on their toy-lines. Hasbro produced animated series based on their line of toys for Transformers and G.I. Joe, which were marketed for boys. The My Little Pony toy-line for girls was released in 1983 and it became so popular that Hasbro produced two TV-Specials that aired in 1984 and 1985, along with a feature film in the summer of 1986. A weekday animated series followed that September, featuring a 10-minute My Little Pony segment followed by another Hasbro cartoons (The Glo Friends, MoonDreamers and the Potato Head Kids). The series only lasted 65 episodes over the course of two-seasons.

Over the years there has been several DVD releases, but My Little Pony: The Complete Series will be released on a 4-disc set for the first time by Shout! Factory this Tuesday. The series is set in the magical Ponyland where the Little Ponies live a peaceful life at the Paradise Estate, but the Little Ponies have enemies that want to destroy them. Throughout each episode The Little Ponies must try to outwit witches, trolls, goblins and other creatures that try to do them harm.

The original untitled My Little Pony special was re-edited into the two-part episode, titled Rescue from Midnight Castle, and the TV-special Escape from Catrina was also re-edited into a two-part episode, which served as the series-finale.

Arriving on DVD on September 2nd is Transformers Beast Machines: The Complete Series, featuring all 26 episodes. Bonus features include audio commentaries and interviews with voice director Susan Blu, voice actor David Kaye, story editor Robert N. Skir and series developer Marv Wolfman.

Picking up where Transformers Beast Wars (1996-1999) ended, Beast Machines debuted in 1999 and aired for two seasons. Using computer animation, the series centered on the Maximals (Optimus Primal, Cheetor, Rattrap and Blackarachnia), whom suddenly arrived on Cybertron with no memory of how they got there. They are stuck in their beast modes and are unable to transform when they are attacked by mindless Vehicon drones. To make matters even worse, the Maximals learn that they all have a deadly virus. Their only hope lies in a supercomputer, Oracle, who reformats them into technorganic Transformers.

The Maximals quickly learn that Megatron is alive and is now in complete control of Cybertron. In order to defeat Megatron and find out what happened to the other Maximals, they must learn how to balance their technological sides with their organic sides.
