[Blu-ray Review] — "TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MUTANT MAYHEM"

I was one of the millions of '80s youngsters obsessed with the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, which aired from 1987 to 1996, though I tuned out about 1992 or 1993. Naturally, I also enjoyed the first three live-action films in the series—well, maybe not the third one as much as the others. The live-action Next Mutation series, which ran from 1997 to 1998, was a farce. I joined the 2003–2009 series late and felt the 2007 animated movie was unneeded. I did, however, watch the animated Nickelodeon series from 2012 to 2017, and I humbly believe it to be the best TMNT series. I disliked the animation style of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and there were too many unneeded alterations.

[Review] — "ROUTE 60: THE BIBLICAL HIGHWAY" — {Giveaway}

Only on September 18 and 19, take your families to see ROUTE 60: THE BIBLICAL HIGHWAY in cinemas. Get your tickets to ROUTE 60 today at route60.movie

Praise for ROUTE 60: The BIBLICAL HIGHWAY

"Visually stunning and compelling storytelling.” - Mike Huckabee

"ROUTE 60 combines the truth of the Bible with undeniable archaeological proof, and like our tour guides, Pompeo and Friedman, that’s a powerful combination!” - Erick Stakelbeck

About ROUTE 60: The BIBLICAL HIGHWAY

The biblical spine of Israel, also known as the Path of the Patriarchs and formally known as Route 60, cuts through the center of the Promised Land. This 146-mile stretch of asphalt and concrete runs from Nazareth, Israel's largest Arab city, to Beersheba, one of Israel's high-tech cities. It is a route of profound historical significance and is frequently the site of tension and bloodshed. Route 60, which runs from north to south, links Muslims, Jews, and Christians with one another, as well as Israelis and Palestinians.

This journey is more than just a two-lane road; it is a historically significant, sacred link to the beginnings of both Christianity and Judaism and the Old and New Testament accounts.

Follow the path that Abraham, Jacob, King David, and Jesus once traveled—as they go along this holy route with Mike Pompeo and David Friedman, two world-changing diplomats. Learn the past, see the mending, and grasp the optimism along the ROUTE 60: THE BIBLICAL HIGHWAY.

My Thoughts

Mike Pompeo, a former secretary of state of the United States, and David Friedman, a former ambassador of the United States to Israel, lead viewers on a 90-minute tour of historical locations along the "Biblical Highway" in the fascinating documentary ROUTE 60: THE BIBLICAL HIGHWAY. While Friedman is Jewish, Pompeo is a Christian. Their thoughts and reflections on narratives from the Old and New Testaments were intriguing.

I've never visited the Holy Land, so I was anxious to watch a documentary about the landmarks and learn more about biblical history. Overall, I enjoyed
ROUTE 60: THE BIBLICAL HIGHWAY; the 90-minute runtime flies by quickly. Undoubtedly, it's worth watching. ╌★★★★✰

[Review] — "THE HILL" is a Delightful, Uplifting Baseball Drama — [Giveaway]

On August 25th, the incredible true story THE HILL (PG, 126 mins) will be released only in movie theaters by Briarcliff Entertainment. Jeff Celentano directed the film—which stars Dennis Quaid, Colin Ford, Joelle Carter, country music singer and songwriter Randy Houser, Golden Globe nominee Bonnie Bedelia, and Scott Glenn.

THE HILL centers on young Rickey Hill, who lived in poverty in a small Texas town and has an exceptional ability to bat a baseball while wearing leg braces due to a spinal condition. To keep Rickey safe from harm and to encourage him to follow in his footsteps and become a minister, his strict pastor father (Dennis Quaid) forbids him from playing baseball. As a young man, Rickey (Colin Ford) rises to fame in baseball. The family is torn apart by his ambition to take part in a tryout for a renowned major league scout, endangering Rickey's dream of becoming a professional baseball player.

Bring your family to the theater to watch this inspiring film! Buy tickets today to see THE HILL only in theaters starting August 25th. Tickets can be purchased at www.thehillmov.com.

My Review

I love feel-good baseball movies—and THE HILL meets the bill. I haven't seen a film like this in a long time because Hollywood only wants to produce remakes and superhero movies. The writing by Angelo Pizzo, Scott Marshall Smith, and Aric Hornig is well done; the performances by the whole cast are good, and the directing is superb. I suggest watching this delightful, uplifting movie with your friends and family. —★★★★★

[Blu-ray Review] — Cocaine Bear: Maximum Rampage Editon (2023)

Available to purchase on Blu-ray and DVD

Yeah, I'm a little late in the game to be reviewing Cocaine Bear (Rated R; 95-minutes) a horror film that came out to theaters in February of this year. The movie is already available to own on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital, and it's streaming on Peacock, so probably most horror fans who wanted to see the film have already done so. I received a Blu-ray copy and watched it right away, and life happens, and things pile up on my desk, and I'm just now getting around to sharing my thoughts on the movie.

[Review] — "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" Almost Becomes a Dumpster Fire

I've been delaying, delaying, and delaying my thoughts on Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania for far too long, so I'm finally forcing myself to write this review. Why the delay? To truth is, I didn't like the film; it's my least favorite MCU film to date. If I hated the movie, then why review it? That's a good question with a simple answer, I received a digital copy for review purposes, and therefore I want to complete my obligation.
