[Spotlight] —Bobbi Smith's "Half-Breed's Lady"

Do you recall those risqué historical romance novels that our mothers used to read? You know, the ones with a stunning woman and a chiseled male in a passionate embrace on the cover? My mother used to have a ton of these paperbacks when I was a kid, and because I'm a bookworm, I eventually read a couple of them out of boredom.

I'm deviating from my own rule of not publishing spotlights. As you might have guessed from the title of this post, I'm spotlighting Half-Breed's Lady by Bobbi Smith. It's the sixth book in the Women Ahead of Their Times series, and it also happens to have one of those risqué covers. It's evident that romance book covers have changed throughout the years, for better or worse—you decide.
In my opinion, those earlier covers stand out from the mass in contrast to the more recent and uninteresting ones. Given that this blog has a significant female readership, I thought I'd offer a highlight for Half-Breed's Lady. The book is currently $2.99 on Kindle at https://amzn.to/3YPgRYh. You may read it for free on Kindle Unlimited as well. Additionally, Defiant, another book by Bobbi Smith, is available for $2.49 on Kindle at https://amzn.to/3xgqC5M.

[Blu-ray Review]—"Star Trek: Prodigy: Season One, Volume One"

Paramount Home Entertainment recently released the first season of Star Trek: Prodigy on DVD and Blu-ray. Sort of. In reality, there are just the first ten episodes. Twenty episodes make up Season One, although the season got divided in half, with the last episodes winding down towards the end of 2022. The DVD and Blu-ray releases are also following this similar pattern.
