{Sunday Post} — Death Count, Fatal Cure, and Nowhere to Run

The Caffeinated Book Reviewer's Kimberly hosts a weekly meme called "The Sunday Post"!

Sorry, no "Weekly Tidbits" today.

What Am I Currently Reading?

I'm currently reading Little Paula by V.C. Andrews, which is one of the worst books ever written. Then I'll move on to one of the books in the above image.

What's New on the Shelf?

I went to the Half Price Books in the city to hunt for certain books, most of which I couldn't locate. The only ones I discovered were four C. J. Box novels: Off the Grid, Free Fire, Breaking Point, and Nowhere to Run. Then I stumbled onto the "Star Trek" section and spent some time looking over the books. I wasn't looking for anything specific, but I opted to buy Michael Jan Friedman's Star Trek: The Next Generation: Crossover and L.A. Graf's Star Trek: Death Count.

This week, I made one unintentional and one intentional "repeat" book purchase at the thrift store. If anybody recalls, I just purchased a tattered paperback edition of The Teeth of the Tiger by Tom Clancy. I now have two copies because I discovered a hardback in almost new condition for 25 cents. Then I got Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Deception by Eric Van Lustbadder. I bought it because I couldn't recall if I already owned a copy, and it turned out that I did. I now have two of that particular one. I also purchased Robin Cook's paperback novel, The Fatal Cure.

  1. Nice that they have a Star Trek section. I've never been in that store. I've never read Robin Cook either, although I remember a TV movie called Coma- I think? - that I liked.
