*This is a sponsored review. All opinions are 100% mine.
Available on AMAZON

I don't read very many self-help titles. However, I'm attempting to make a few healthy changes in my life so I thought I would give Walking the 10 Paths of Self Healing (382 pages) by Nadav Ben Yehuda a chance.

After being diagnosed with fibromyalgia and cancer, Nadav decided to make many life changes which resulted in being cured from his illnesses.

Product Review: VIVE Leg Cast Protector

If you have ever tried to take a shower while you're wearing cast on your foot or leg, then you would know that it's a difficult thing to accomplish unless you have some sort of plastic wrapped around the cast to prevent it from getting wet.

Luckily, in today's day of age, you can purchase just about anything online, including arm and leg cast protectors.

Honestly, I didn't know such a thing existed until I heard about the VIVE Leg Cast Protector. I wished I had known about this protector last year when I twisted my ankle and had to wear a brace for most of the summer.

The protector is made from durable, composite material. Each seam was created to be tear-resistant and leakproof. It features a rubber diaphragm that will create a watertight leakproof seal around your leg. The seal will regain its shape after each use; meaning you can reuse the cast protector over and over and it'll still produce a watertight seal every time.

The Leg Cast Protector stretched out.

Picture of me wearing the leg cast protector on my right leg.

Get Healthy With Bone Broth Protein!

What are your New Year's Resolutions for 2018?

Like probably many other people, one my New Year's Resolutions is to lose weight . And like almost everyone that makes this resolution, I have failed each and every year. For 2018, my gain goal is get back into a daily exercise routine, get into shape, and feel better about myself, so basically next year will be all about me.

To begin my new "A New Me in 2018" posts, I'm featuring a review on two new protein products from Ancient Nutrition. The products are called Keto PROTEIN and Organic Bone Broth PROTEIN!

Getting the proper amount of protein is important if you want to gain strength and build muscles. While you can get extra protein from food, many people prefer to get it from a pre-workout or post-workout drink or shake. Sadly, many of the protein powders and mixes have way too much sugar in them.

Keto PROTEIN (retails for $54.95) is available in a variety of flavors, but I was sent the "chocolate" flavor. It was created for ketogenic dieters, students, gamers, and anyone looking to boost their mind and increase their strength. Each serving has 11g fat, 15g protein, 1g sugar and 3g carbs that all comes from high quality chicken bone broth and coconut MCTs. It also contains antioxidant and adaptogenic herbs. It's free of soy, grain, dairy, and gluten.

Ingredients include: Chicken Bone Broth Oil, Chicken Bone Broth Protein Concentrate, Organic Chicken Protein Concentrate, Medium Chain Triglycerides (coconut), Organic Ashwagandha Extract (root), Hydrolyzed Bovine Collagen Peptides, Cocoa, Organic Coffee Fruit Extract, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Fermented Organic Ginger (rhizome), Fermented Organic Black Pepper (fruit), Fermented Organic Long Pepper (fruit), and Fermented Organic Reishi Mushroom Mycelium (Ganodema Lucidum).

The tub sent to me is 19oz and contains 17 servings (1 heaping 32g scoop). It can be mixed with 12 ounces of water, plain almond milk, coffee, or tea. It's not meant to be a meal replacement, but it can be taken as a workout drink or as a snack.

The Keto PROTEIN Chocolate mixed with hot coffee.

Being the big coffee drinker that I am, I naturally added the chocolate protein to my morning cup of coffee. It blends really well with the hot coffee and it tasted great! I couldn't even tell it was made from bone broth! There's nothing better than drinking chocolate coffee on a cold winter day.

The Organic Bone Broth PROTEIN (retails for $57.95) is an organic superfood powder made from real bone broth. It's available in several different flavors, but the sample tub (16 oz) sent to me is the "Savory Herbs" flavor. There are 17 servings (one scoop) per container (tub). Each serving has 100 calories, 0 sugar, and 20g of protein!

Product Review: NutraEdge EdgeTest

Yes, here I am again writing a review for another testosterone booster. I'm sure many men who buy these types of supplements are just trying to improve their sex life; like it's a magical "blue pill."

Well, testosterone boosters aren't magic pills, and just like any other vitamin supplement, seeing any health results from taking it varies from person to person.

Anyhow, the supplement I have been taking is called EdgeTest, which is made by NutraEdge, a company developed by a group of sports and fitness enthusiasts who want to help athletes take their bodies & minds to the next level.

#NutraEdge EdgeTest is supposed to help you maintain a healthy libido & sex drive, promote healthy muscle growth, and support energy & stamina. There are 90 capsules per bottle (30 servings). It retails for $20.99, but it's currently on sale on Amazon for $19.94 at: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NBPCMNZ

Get Healthy This Summer with Fermented Proteins!

Last month, I had the opportunity to try out several samples from Genuine Health (aka, The Fermentation Experts).

The sample products sent to me were:

Advanced Gut Health Probiotic
Fermented Greek Yogurt Proteins  (powder mix)
Fermented Greek Yogurt Proteins (protein bar)
Fermented Vegan Proteins (powder mix)
Fermented Vegan Proteins (protein bar)

As you probably see there is a theme here with Genuine Health, as their products are non-GMO, soy free, gluten free, and natural & clean. Their protein mixes & bars are either made from fermented vegan or Greek Yogurt. Fermentation helps to break down proteins, which reduce digestive efforts. Plus, fermentation helps the body to absorb nutrients.

I was sent one Greek Yogurt Proteins bar (cherry almond vanilla) and one Fermented Vegan Proteins bar (peanut butter chocolate). Both bars contains 15 grams of protein with a total of 210-220 calories. I liked both flavors, but my favorite was the cherry almond vanilla.

Product Review: Super Mass Gainer: Chocolate Cake Batter

It seems protein mixes and shakes are becoming more and more popular, even in a small Midwest town. On countless occasions, I have seen men and women with big containers of protein mixes in their shopping carts.

Anyhow, in early October I was sent a 12 lbs bag of Super Mass Gainer: Chocolate Cake Batter from DYMATIZE Nutrition. The 12 lb bag retails for $51.44 on Amazon.com. It's also available in 6 lb bags, and a several different flavors (chocolate mint, cookie & cream, rich chocolate, sugar cookie, vanilla, gourmet vanilla, and strawberry.).

Each serving (2 heaping scoops) contains 1,900 calories, 83 grams of protein, 17 grams of BCAAs, and 7.7 grams of Leucine. You can either mix it with 24 to 32 ounces of water or milk.

It's basically meant to be a meal replacement, but you can decrease the serving amount to one scoop if the 1,900 calories are too much for you.

Product Review: ARIMA-XD

The ARIMA-XD is a 30-Day Cycle anti-estrogen/cortisol inhibitor, so basically it's meant to lower estrodial levels for men.

For us males, as we get older, our estrogen levels increase, which will cause or testosterone levels to drop. This will cause weight gain, loss of muscle, decrease in energy, and a decrease in libido.

The label recommends taking 1 to 2 tablets per day, so I took one tablet for the first week and then I started taking two tablets last week. It's supposed to increase libido, lower cortisol and inhibit Aromatase enzymes.

Does it work?

It's always difficult to see if a supplement is actually working or not. Sometimes it takes several weeks for it to kick into your system, while others may or may not be working at all, but you're just not seeing any physical results.

Review - CAFFINITY

I had reviewed two other products from VMI SPORTS during the summer, and along with those products, they sent along several free samples, including one-serving samples of CAFFINITY.

Anything that resembles the world "caffeine" in it's title gets my full attention, so naturally I wanted to review a full bottle (60 caps).

CAFFINITY is all day energy boost, but without the unwanted crash that comes with drinking several cups of coffee.

One serving (one cap), contains 290mg of a CAFFINITY Super Blend which has a mixture of 1,3,7-trimethylxanthine, Infinergy and L-theanine.

How much actual caffeine is in one serving?

Around 200mg of caffeine, which is almost the same amount in two cups of coffee.

Product Review: VasogenXT Powder

Whether your bodybuilding, training for an athletic event, or if your just trying to get into shape, herbal supplements can come in handy, especially the ones that can help decrease recovery time and aid in muscle building.

Product Review: BCAA Powder (Fruit Punch)

One of the reasons why people quit exercising is because there body just gets too sore from their workouts. What is happening is that they aren't giving their body the proper length of time for their muscles to heal before they exercise again. There are some dietary supplements that can reduce your recovery time.

Last month, I was sent a container of BCAA Powder from Vitality Max Labs to test out and review. The retail price for one #BCAAPOWDER container costs $99, but it is currently listed for $26.99 on Amazon.com. Each 5.6oz container contains 30 servings (1 scoop).

The ingredients include:

L-Leucine - a dietary amino acid that stimulates muscle protein synthesis.

L-IsoLeucine -  an amino acid that only works when it is combined with L-Leucine or L-Valine.

L-Valine - an essential amino acid.

Fitness & Coffee Sundays: Does Asian Ginseng Improve Athletic Endurance?

I believe I might have mentioned before that I like taking Ginseng supplements.

Typically, Ginseng is grown in Korea, Northern China or Eastern Siberia. However, it has can be found in some parts of the United States, in which the supplement version is called American Ginseng. It doesn't matter where the Ginseng is grown at as all the supplements generally have the same benefits.

Earlier this month, I was sent a bottle of Vita G Premium Korean Red Panax Ginseng to test out and review. Each bottle has 90 veggie capsules (45 servings) with 1000mg of Panax Ginseng (Root).

Ginseng has been known to improve athletic endurance, promotes sexual heath in both men and women, and supports overall mental health.

Fitness & Coffee Sundays: RAW Protein & Greens

I once thought protein shakes & drinks were just something that we're tricked into buying just because it was advertised on a workout DVD. However, protein is the #1 key factor in growing muscles, so adding a bit more into your diet is a must for anyone that is exercising, especially if you are lifting weights.

You have to watch out on what kind of drinks/shakes that you buy as many of them have way too much sugar and fat, as well as other unwanted ingredients.

Garden of Life has recently released a brand-new line of protein mixes, titled RAW Protein & Greens, which features an organic plant formula featuring organic spinach, kale, broccoli and alfalfa grass juice. There are currently three different flavors: Lightly Sweet (No Stevia), Chocolate Cacao, and Vanilla.

Did I say these were organic?

Yep! Each RAW Protein & Greens is USDA Organic, NON GMO Verified, Certified Vegan, Certified B and Certified NSF. It's free from gluten, dairy, soy, tree nuts, added sugars (except for the Lightly Sweet flavor), filler ingredients, artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners or preservatives. One serving has 1.5 Billion Live Probiotics and 13 Enzymes.

RAW Protein & Greens: Chocolate Cacao

All three flavors have an unique Organic RAW Protein & Greens Blend, featuring Organic Sprouted Brown Rice Protein, Organic Pea Protein, Organic Spinach (leaf), Organic Chia Protein, Organic Alfalfa Grass Juice, Organic Broccoli (stalk & flower), Organic Navy Bean (sprout), Organic Lentil Bean (sprout), Organic Garbanzo Bean (sprout), Organic Carrot (root), Organic Beet (root) and Organic Kale (leaf).

RAW Protein & Greens: Vanilla
Additionally, each flavor has also contains a RAW Probiotic & Enzyme Blend of Lipase, Protease, Aspergillopepsin, beta-Glucanase, Cellulase, Bromelain, Phytase, Lactase, Papain, Peptidase, Pectinase, Xylanase and Hemicellulase (Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus bulgaricus) (1.5 Billion CFU).

Improve Your Confidence With Hypnosis Programs!

If anyone remembers correctly, I started out the year with a few "A New Me in 2015" posts, which I planned on featuring reviews for two hypnosis programs, Date Beautiful Women! and Sexually Confident, from Hyptalk.com. Sadly, I stared a bad habit this year of putting off a few reviews, or just completely forgetting about them. Maybe I should take a program to help me to stop procrastinating. Nevertheless, I'm finally getting around to writing a review on both programs.

RAW MEAL: Chocolate Cacao Now Has Less Sugar and More Protein!

It's Monday, so probably many of you are feeling a bit sluggish. Or maybe it's just me today. Nevertheless, the best way to give yourself a boost is by drinking a tasty protein shake.

You might recall me reviewing the Raw Meal: Chocolate Cacao (read my review here) earlier this year. Well, Garden of Life listened to their customers and tweaked the powder mix. It now has less protein (only 1g now), 15% more protein (20g per scoop) and is loaded with 45 Superfoods!

Garden of Life nicely sent me a sample 17.4oz container to test out and review a few months back, and as you can see, I'm finally getting around to reviewing it. Each container has about 14 scoops (servings), if you are wanting just a shake. If you want to use it as a meal replacement (2 scoops), then it would last only 7 days.

Just like other Garden of Life products, this is NON-GMO Verified (independent third party verification). There is no gluten and it's soy & dairy free. Also, there are no added sugars, artificial flavors or sweeteners.

RAW MEAL Organic Vanilla Spiced Chai Review

I was feeling a little sluggish earlier tonight. Knowing that I had several things to work on, I almost thought about making a pot of coffee, but then I didn't  do it as I don't want to "stay up" literally all night. Then it dawned on me that I have two containers of RAW MEAL from Garden of Life that I haven't reviewed yet.

So, I grabbed the 16 oz container of RAW MEAL Organic Vanilla Spiced Chai, scooped one serving of the meal replacement and mixed it in a shaker with 8 oz of water.

While the RAW MEAL Organic Vanilla Spiced Chai has been around for awhile, the Garden of Life company recently changed the recipe to give it 15% more protein with 45 super foods and it now only has 1g of sugar per serving. There is no junk ingredients, such as gluten, soy, dairy, added sugars, artificial flavors and sweeteners. It's been NON-GMO VERIFIED.

Zahler Whey Protein Meal Replacement Powder Review

I hate to admit this, but my eating habits haven't been the best as of lately, especially when I've been drinking unneeded energy drinks a few times a week; which has resulted in my pants getting tighter around my waist. Hopefully, I can cut back on the sweets and push myself to exercise a bit more daily, so I can at least lose a few pounds for the holidays.

One the best ways to give in to your afternoon cravings without the all the unwanted sugar and other junk is to make yourself a protein shake!

Recently, I was sent a container of Zahler Whey Protein Meal Replacement Powder, which comes in many different flavors, such as Toasted Coconut, Peanut Butter, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip and Cranberry Apple. The flavor that was sent to me was Cappuccino!

Unlike a lot of protein mixes, this one has only 1 gram of sugar per serving. It has 25 grams of protein per serving (1 scoop). It also contains BCAAs, Essential Amino Acids and Non-Essential Amino Acids, which will help a person burn body fat and gain muscle, if you are exercising regularly.
