Book Blogger Hop: Reading New Genres in the New Year

Welcome to the Book Blogger Hop!

This Week's Prompt:

Which genre are you eager to jump into more this year, and what draws you to it?
╍Submitted by Billy, Coffee-Addicted Writer

My Answer:

I have an itch that no modern novel can scratch—I'm reading some classics in 2026. Some titles I’m considering are The House of the Seven Gables by Nathaniel Hawthorne, Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky, Hungry Hill by Daphne du Maurier, Anatomy of a Murder by Robert Traver, and In Cold Blood by Truman Capote, just to name a few.

  3. Do you know about The Classics Club? I'm a moderator there, and I've been a member since 2018. It's a club where members choose fifty classics to read over the next five years. I've ended up reading lots of great books because of this club. Here's a link to more info about it: https://theclassicsclubblog.wordpress.com/how-to-join/. 1. Oh, I have other non-classics I want to read this year. The only problem is finding the time to read everything.

  5. Some classics like those would be good to focus on. I had a hard time answering this question, my answer may not satisfy anyone (including myself), but it made me grin.

  8. The only classic I've considered reading is The Count of Monte Cristo. I tend to read a lot of fantasy and romance with a little mystery thrown in. Happy New Year!
