Billy's Answer
Two of the earliest book I recall reading were The Haunting of Grade Three and The Return of the Third Grade Ghost Hunters by Grace Maccarone. Also, I enjoyed reading the original Goosebumps books by R.L. Stine and Grave Doubts by John Peel. I guess you can say I liked horror stories at a young age.

I started with fairy tales myself, which eventually spawned my love for all things fantasy and paranormal! It's funny how that works out when we're kids.

I didn't read very any fairy tale stories when I was a kid, though I do remembered reading an oversized Garfield fairy tale book. I believe I still have it somewhere.
DeleteYour answer reminded me that, yes, I did used to read some Point Horror books when I was 10-12 too!
ReplyDeleteI started reading point horror and Fear Street books after being introduced to the Goosebumps series when I was either in the fifth or sixth grade.
DeleteI love that horror has been your reading favourite through the years, Billy. Enid Blyton fantasy was my starter-for-ten ;-) although I did dip my toes into horror during my teen/adolescent years.
