Billy's Answer
I did when I first started blogging, but it's a bad habit that I quickly stopped. I don't have time to be obsessed over stats. I very seldom pay attention to my posts views unless a potential sponsor needs to know the details.

It must be a beginner's problem)))
ReplyDeleteIt was for me.
DeleteI still check from time to time, but nowhere near as obsessively as when I first started blogging!
ReplyDeleteGetting a high number of pageviews was a big thing for me when I first started blogging. Now ten years later, it no longer bothers me. Actually, I don't really care what the views are anymore.
DeleteSame! Though I do get sucked in from time to time and dive a little deeper into my stats.
ReplyDeleteI can understand that; which is probably the reason why I avoid my stats all together.
DeleteSame here. I know it will drive me bonkers to keep checking. As it is when a publisher asks for it, I can barely get the right percentage they want and usually have to go for an overall by week or month rather than day.

Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Normally, publishers want monthly or yearly stats. If a publisher, studio, or sponsors asks for my stat, I always comply, but I don't like having to hunt down all the stats; especially the ones for the unique visitors/views, which I always find difficult to calculate.
DeleteNo, I don't fuss over them either.
ReplyDeleteI view them every day because it gives me an insight to what the viewers like. Not to mention, I take it as motivation to do better for the next post!

Blog stats can be utterly demoralising so I try and ignore them.
