Book Blogger Hop

About the Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended December 31, 2012.

I didn't want the hop to come to end, and with Jennifer's permission, I’ll relaunch the Book Blogger Hop on Friday, February 15th, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt just like before. The hop's purpose will remain the same as it will give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

Weekly Questions:  If you have a question, fill out the Form. Each blogger with a selected question will get credit during that week's hop. Remember to keep the questions & answers G-rated for the younger bloggers.

January 3rd - 9th: During the holidays there were hundreds of blog hops with giveaways and prizes. How did you keep track of if you what, if anything, you won? (submitted by Judy)
January 10th - 16th: Are you a book blogger purist? Do you only have book related posts or do you review/post on anything/everything that catches your eye? (submitted by Judy)
January 17th - 23rd: Do you blog for a living or for fun? (submitted by Judy)
January 24th - 30th: Do you think you will ever read every book in your TBR stack? (submitted by Elizabeth)
January 31st - February 6th: When you receive new books in the mail, do the older ones get moved to the bottom of your list or do go strictly "by the book" and keep your list with older books first and then the new ones? (submitted by Elizabeth)
February 7th - 13th: What is the highest number of books you received in one day either in the mail or from UPS or FED EX? (submitted by Elizabeth)
February 14th - 20th: How do you handle unsolicited books that appear in your mailbox? Do you add them to your queue? Do you write to the sender and explain you didn't ask for the book and are not sure when you will be able to read and review the book? Or do you simply not read the book at all? (submitted by Elizabeth)
February 21st - 27th: This annoys me, what about you? When I click on a blogger's name and it goes to their profile and I see more than one blog listed, how do you know which one to visit? I usually don't visit. (submitted by Elizabeth)

May 2nd - 8th: When you receive a book in the mail or from UPS, do you immediately catalog it or leave the books stacked up until the week is up and then catalog them? (submitted by Elizabeth)
May 9th - 15th: When you enter a contest or request a book, how do you keep track of what the books are? or perhaps you don't keep track and just remember what you entered or requested? (submitted by Elizabeth)
May 16th - 22nd: How do you decide what blogs to follow? (submitted by RAnn)
May 23rd - 29th: Did you ever make a HUGE mistake when you posted a review? For Example: Did you have the correct book title, but the wrong author in the blog post title? If so, how long until you found your mistake? (submitted by Elizabeth)

  3. THANK YOU for reviving the Book Blogger Hop. I really enjoyed it.

I sent Jennifer a ton of questions, but can't remember any. I asked if she still has them. If she does, I will send them along to you so you can choose from them.

  7. I appreciate your willingness to take on the Hop. It was my baby and although I tried, it was just too hard for me to keep up with every week. I'm so glad that you see the value in keeping it going and can put all the love and enthusiasm into it that I once did!! :) I look forward to following it on your blog!!
    All the best,

  13. Hi. I wanted to drop you a quick note to express my thanks. I've been following your blog
for a month or so and have picked up a ton of good information as well as enjoyed the way you've structured your site. I am attempting to run my own blog but I think its too general and I want to focus more on smaller topics. Being all things to all people is not all that its cracked up to be.

    Papa, i want to go
