Happy Easter, Everyone!

I hope everyone is doing well on this Easter morning!!!! I'm doing alright today; though I have been battling a bit of depression that suddenly crept back into my life last month; resulting in many difficult days where I could barely get out bed and function. Don't worry, I'm trying my best to deal with it.

If anyone has noticed, I didn't participate in last week's Sunday Post and It's Monday! What Are You Readng?. Well, I do have a good excuse. I spent most of last weekend binge watching the ninth season of Shameless on Showtime On Demand. I had watched the previous seasons on Netflix last year. Showtime was having a free "Watchathon" for a few days, so I watched the latest season of Shameless. Plus, I was busy last Sunday night watching American Gods and Game of Thrones.

What Am I Currently Reading?

Next, I'll probably be reading The Tinderbox by Beverly Lewis, which arrived in the mail a few days ago. From the blurb, I'm taking a guess that it's a standalone novel. I'm also planning on reading the eBook "Dying for Devil's Food" by Jenn McKinlay.

In the Mail

The Tinderbox is the only book I have received lately that's for strictly reviewing on this blog. However, I did received several more Blu-ray and DVDs, which all of them will be reviewed on this blog relatively soon. The titles include: Cold War Thrillers: 6 Film Collection, Soul Team Six: 6 Film Collection, Black Gunn & The Take Double Feature, The Big C: The Complete Series, and Replicas.

New on My Bookshelf

There are quite a few new books on my bookshelf, including three new James Patterson titles: The 13-Minute Murder, Miracle at St. Andrews, and The Fall of Crazy House.
Last weekend, I picked up 9 paperbacks at the local thrift store for 10 cents each. The titles are: Goldfinger (a.k.a. James Bond) by Ian Fleming, Midnight by Dean R. Koontz, When Calls The Heart, When Comes The Spring, Once Upon A Summer, The Winds Of Autumn, Winter Is Not Forever, When Breaks The Dawn, and When Hope Springs New by Janette Oke.

  1. I’m sorry you are having a tough time at the moment, please reach out for help to a medical professional when you need it.
Patterson is such a prolific author, it’s impossible to keep up! I hope you enjoy his latest.

    Have a great reading week

    1. Thanks for your support!!

Yes, Mr. Patterson is a prolific author, though the quality of his stories varies from book to book. My late grandmother was a big James Patterson fan and she was the one who got me interested in his works. After her death, I've continued to get each new book, which there have been many.

  2. I'm so excited to see GoT back! I haven't watched Ep. 2 yet... Being in the UK, we get it on Monday unless you stay up to the wee hours of the morning to catch along with the US.

I'm sorry you're having a hard time at the second. I hope it passes for you soon, Billy.

    1. Last night's episode of GoT was good. However, I thought the scene with Ayra and Gendry was a bit creepy. Next week's episode should be amazing! I believe it's around 85 minutes. I have a feeling many characters will perish during the battle against the White Walkers.

  5. Hope you work your way through the depression, it is so debilitating and robbing of the good things of life. Sending a hug. Your books look great, a James Patterson splurge coming up by the look of it.
