Sunday Post: November 11, 2018

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @  Caffeinated Book Reviewer!

Good Evening, Everyone!

My Current Reads!

Last week was an extremely busy week for me. Between running errands, taking care of my grandmother's issues, my television dying, and planning Thanksgiving dinner, I decided to redesign this blog, which took me 36+ hours to complete. Since I didn't have any free time, I made the decision to delay last week's reading schedule.

Books on my agenda this week are: Lizzie Borden, Zombie Hunter 2:The Axe Will Fall by C.A. Verstraete, Elevation by Stephen King, and Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan.

I had planned on reading Lizzie Borden 2 and Elevation last week, but those were the two main books I shoved aside in order to work on the blog's redesign.

Reading Update

I haven't opened up American Mirror: The Life and Art of Norman Rockwell since last Sunday, so I'm still on page 50.

In The Mail

Books

Last Monday, I received a paperback ARC of Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan, which I had requested from the publisher. A few days later, I had received a hardback copy of Robert B. Parker's Blood Feud by Mike Lupica, which I had never requested to review. Nevertheless, it does look like a good read, so I might have to put it on my reading schedule.

  Holiday Gift Guide

Recently, I had signed up to review several Ellie Claire journals. Three of the journals (Illuminate Your Story Journal, The Illustrated Word: An Illuminated Bible Coloring Journal, and Faith & Lettering Journal) arrived in the mail last week. I'll be reviewing the journals during this year's Holiday Gift Guide.

  1. I used to read all the Robert Parker mysteries - are the new ones good too? Felix Francis has taken over for his dad Dick Francis and they seem pretty good. Anne - Books of My Heart

    1. I haven't read enough of Robert Parker's older books for me to compare the writing styles to the new authors' stories. I do like the Appaloosa sequel novels by Robert Knott.
