My Answer:

I did when I was a teenager. It was a way for me to ignore a few cousins that I didn't want to be around. Nowadays, I don't read on Thanksgiving.

  1. That's a great way to avoid obnoxious relatives! Lol. In my case, it's an accepted family fact that I will have my nose in a book most of the time, even on Thanksgiving Day! Lol.

Here's wishing you and your family a VERY Happy Thanksgiving, Billy! :)

  2. Your comment made me laugh as I was pretty similar in regards to avoiding obnoxious cousins. We used to go visit family out of town so I'd always have a book with me then and sneaking off to read wasn't too obvious! Now I'm expected to contribute and visit!

  3. I like what you did to avoid your cousins.

I would like to do that too to some of my adult relatives. :) I normally resist and try to talk to the people I enjoy talking to.

Thanks for sharing, and Happy Thanksgiving.

    Happy Hopping!!

  4. As an adult, I still sneak away to read now and then. I can't help myself. :-)

  5. Same here, as a teen most of my family expected me to have my nose in a book. Probably still do. But now I'm required to be a responsible adult, and do that sort of thing.
