Now available to own on Blu-ray & Digital HD combo pack from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment is the horror flick "The Boy." Directed by William Brent Bell, the film stars Lauren Cohan (The Walking Dead) and Rupert Evans. There are no special features or bonus extras on the single-disc.

Like many horror movies today, The Boy is rated PG-13. The plot centers on a woman named Greta (played by Lauren Cohan) leaving her home in Montana for for the UK, where she would be taking a job as a nanny for the Heelshire family (played by Jim Norton and Diana Hardcastle). Upon arriving she quickly realizes this isn't any ordinary job as the boy she is babysitting is in fact a  porcelain doll!

The Heelshire's real son, Brahms, died in a fire in 1991, and ever since then they have treated the doll as their own son. They even call it Brahms. With the Heelshires leaving town for awhile, Greta will have take care Brahms by herself and must follow a set a rules that are left behind.

While at first it might seem like a bit of fun to live in the big mansion, Greta quickly learns that there is some sort of supernatural force among her. Even the grocery deliveryman,  Malcolm (played by Rupert Evans), believes something weird is occurring there. Soon she starts to believe that Brahms might be real.

I guess we all have our guilty pleasures. For me, my guilty pleasure would be reading the occasional Harlequin novel. Yep, male readers like to romances too.

Now available to purchase in bookstores this week is the Harlequin Intrigue novel "Smoke and Ashes" by Danica Winters, book one in the new Montana Heroes series.

Smoke and Ashes centers on fire inspector Kevin Jensen (and a single father), who comes to aid of Heather Sampson when her house catches on fire. He has known Heather for awhile now and always found her attractive, but always kept his distance because she was married. However, now that Heather's jealous husband wants out of their marriage, Kevin might finally have a chance to win her heart.

There's nothing better to do on a rainy Spring day than to read an intriguing novel. Well, at least that's what I did over the weekend, when I took the time to sit down and read The Inheritance by Michael Phillips, the author of over 70 titles. My grandmother has read many of the author's books, which is one of the reasons why I wanted to review this one.

Set on the Shetland Islands, The Inheritance centers on the death of the Macgregor Tulloch, the patriarch of the clan of Whales Reef, which sends the community into chaos as he had no will. Everyone thought Tulloch would leave everything to his grandnephew, but with no will in sight that is never going to happen. Tulloch's estate covers almost the entire island, and David's cousin Hardy is more than willing to to claim it as his own.

This is where Loni Ford comes into the story, a woman who has found success working for an investment firm in Washington, D.C.. Out of nowhere she receives a letter from Scotland that will forever change her

Many older books are being released to ebook formats, which happens to be the case for the One Pink Rose by Julie Garwood, book one in the The Clayborne Bride series. The novella was originally published back in 1997, but now it's being released as an ebook by Pocket Star EBooks on May 9, 2016. It will be available to purchase on S&S, BAM, IBOOKSTORE, KINDLE, NOOK and GOOGLE PLAY.

Set in Montana in 1880, One Pink Rose centers on Travis, the youngest of the Clayborne brothers, who gets talked into escorting a young woman, Emily Finnegan, to Golden Crest, Montana.

Emily is a mail-order bride, who plans on starting a new life in Montana; though she doesn't plan on falling in love with a stranger. Unfortunately, this is a love story, so you can pretty much guess what happens between her and Travis.

Final Thoughts: I have seen the author's titles in bookstores, but this is the first time I have read one of her works. While the main plot is a little cliched, One Pink Rose still is a decent read. All the characters are likeable and the blossoming romance feels believable. Overall, One Pink Rose is a cute, fast-paced read that should entertain all romance readers.

Make sure to keep an eye out for the other Clayborne Bride novellas from Pocket Star EBooks. One White Rose will be released on June 13th. One Red Rose will be released on July 11th!

I'm sure Power Rangers fans (young & old) are excited about the reboot feature film that just started filming this month. Unfortunately, you'll have to wait until next year to see it in theaters. However, the good news is that you can now buy Power Rangers Dino Charge: Resurgence, which just landed on DVD earlier this month. The single-disc set features four exciting episodes from twenty-second season. There are no special features or bonus extras, though the DVD does come with a digital Ultraviolet code.

Borrowing footage, props and costumes from the Japanese Super Sentai Series Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, Power Ranger Dino Charge centers on a new team of heroes - Brennan, the red ranger (played by Tyler Navarro); Shelby, the pink ranger (played by Camille Hyde); Koda, the blue ranger (played by Yoshi Sudarso), Riley, the green ranger (played by Michael Taber); and Chase, the black ranger (played by James Davies). Mentored by archaeologist Kendall Morgan (played by Claire Blackwelder) and the alien called "Keeper," the rangers must battle the deadly alien bounty hunter Sledge and his minions, as well as search and retrieve the missing Energems before Sledge finds them first.

This DVD features the episodes 5 thru 8.

If you haven't already noticed there hasn't been a Thursday ReReads posts for the last few weeks. I've been busy with other things, so I skipped decided to skip those weeks. My plan was to have the review for Rotten School: Calling All Birdbrains written and posted on Thursday morning, but I was actually under the weather for the past few days and I just didn't feel like it. Plus, I was really ticked for reasons I won't go into details on here.

Now on with the review.

Rotten School is set at a boarding school called (Yep! You guessed it!) Rotten School. All the books are centered on a 4th-grader named Bernie Bridges, who has a bad of habit of trying to scam his fellow classmates out of money.

Book 15, titled Calling All Birdbrains, is the weirdest book in the series. It starts out with Bernie's pet parrot, Libby, ruining the all-night UNO tournament in the back room of the Student Center. Typically, Libby is always a good luck charm for Bernie, but not anymore.

After several accidents, all of which Libby was the cause of, Bernie believes his beloved parrot is bad luck. With the school's annual I. B. Rotten Outdoor Game Competition right around the corner, Bernie doesn't want any bad luck, so he does the only thing he can think of - he gives Libby to his nemesis, Sherman Oaks.

Unfortunately, the unthinkable happens - Sherman has a series of good luck, all thanks to Bernie. Now Bernie is desperate to get Libby back for the games begin.
