BILLY'S REVIEW
If you haven't seen any of the GOD'S NOT DEAD movies, the good news is that GOD'S NOT DEAD: IN GOD WE TRUST is a stand-alone film, so you don't need a recap. It's a Christian, politically charged film on a lower budget than standard Hollywood films. Some recognizable names in the cast include Ray Wise, Dean Cain, Scott Baio, and Isaiah Washington. David A. R. White plays the protagonist, reprising his role as Reverend David Hill from the previous films in the series.
The film's theme is the classic battle of good vs. evil, with Reverend David Hill competing against the corrupt Peter Kane, played by Ray Wise, in a congressional election in Arkansas. It follows the typical election storyline that has been used repeatedly in movies. However, the film stands out with its added religious elements, often missing from Hollywood movies. Additionally, it has a subplot involving Hill's campaign manager, played by Samaire Armstrong, that feels like a typical made-for-HALLMARK flick. It's predictable, but the actress stood out among the cast, giving a strong performance.

GOD'S NOT DEAD: IN GOD WE TRUST is flawed, but it delivers positive messages about hope and faith. Pastor Dave reminds us that we are blessed as children of the Living God, and as Americans, we hold the greatest title in the world: citizens of the United States of America. ╌★★★✰✰
I was never a fan of the first film in the franchise, It place too many issue in one movie and handle it in a sloppy way. If this movie took the direction in show how important it is to put your faith in God and not in government. Homely I can not see a pastor running for president.
ReplyDeleteIf that were to happen in real life the libs and "news" media will be crying white Christian nationalism day in day out.
