I feel ecstatic when I find a Star Trek book in the wild, but it doesn't happen often. Last Monday, I ran across a book called Star Trek: Phaser Fight by Barbara and Scott Siecel at the thrift store. It is part of a series called "Which Way" books, Archway Books' version of the Choose Your Own Adventure books, published in the 1980s. Only two of the 24 books published were related to the Star Trek universe, and Phaser Fight was the final one.
I also found a hardback of Daphne du Maurier's My Cousin Rachel and Richard Marcinko and Jim DeFelice's Rogue Warrior: Domino Theory and Rogue Warrior: Blood Lies at the thrift store. The hardback has no edition number; the only copyright dates are 1951 and 1952.
During the week, I visited Dollar Tree twice, but there were no new books. I did, however, purchase All Her Little Secrets by Wanda M. Morris, which I had seen there the week before.
The new eBooks on my Kindle are Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Gamma: Original Sin by David R. George, The Silent Corner by Dean Koontz, Alien: Enemy of My Enemy by Mary SanGiovanni, Star Wars: Crimson Climb by E.K. Johnston, The Surrogate Mother by Freida McFadden, One by One by Freida McFadden, and The Guest List by Lucy Foley.
