Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer! |
Good Morning, Everyone!
What Am I Reading?
I finished reading Let Him Go by Larry Willson yesterday afternoon. I received notification from OverDrive that Malorie by Josh Malerman was available to check out, so I went ahead and downloaded the eBook. It's a sequel to Bird Box, which I haven't read yet. I did have it reserved along with Malorie, but I ended up buying it on Kindle when it was on sale. It'll be my next read, followed by Malorie and Weeks: Book 2 by Jasyn T. Turley.
Also, I'll be reading the cookbook From Dill To Dracula sometime today for a book tour that I'll post on Tuesday.
Recent Reviews
The other books were Goosebumps SlappyWorld: My Friend Slappy by R.L. Stine, Whispering Hearts by V.C. Andrews, and The Noel Letters by Richard Paul Evans, all of which I had requested to review. The Goosebumps story is short, so I might be able to squeeze it in a day or two. The Noel Letters is a sappy Christmas story from one of my favorite authors, so I will probably fly through the pages. Lastly, Whispering Hearts is another ghostwritten V.C. Andrews's title. I didn't care much for the last few titles, so my expectation is low for this one.
What's New on the Bookshelf?
Recent titles on my Kindle are Deadly Friend by Diana Henstell, Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia, Bird Box by Josh Malerman, The Haunting of Brynn Wilder by Wendy Webb, and Slash of the Titans: The Road to Freddy Vs. Jason by Dustin McNeill.
I showed it to my youngest who's a huge Tim Burton and Jack fan (well, so am I) :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a book haul ! I always try to be on book buying ban but you know how these things go...
Stay safe and have a great week :)
Enjoy your books, and I hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI am curious about Let Him Go.
Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.
I Really Enjoyed On St Nicks Trail. It was very unique and cute.
ReplyDeleteI’m sorry you’ve been unwell. unfortunately the flu shot doesn’t cover every strain. I hope the rest of your recovery is quick.
ReplyDeleteI’m sorry your Halloween wasn’t what you hoped
Wishing you a great reading week
Sorry you didn't get to enjoy Halloween! Hope you're feeling better in November, too.

Love your haul. We still carved pumpkins but the Royals are here and excited. Halloween was not banned, but our community set up baskets and tables at the end of their driveways filled with candy. Parents wore masks and kiddos went around from 6-8.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better.
Sorry to hear you were under the weather! Hope you feel better soon. They didn't outlaw Halloween in my city and our neighborhood did a huge block party, aka super spreader event. We didn't participate, but I did watch some scary movies. I watched What Lies Beneath which is one of my all-time favorite scary/mystery/ghost stories, so it was a great night! Enjoy your new books! :)
ReplyDeleteI was bummed about Halloween too, we didn't get very many trickortreaters. Not super surprised about it though considering. Love that Halloween video!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to read you haven't been feeling well. And I'm sorry about Halloween.. this year definitely makes you appreciate everything so much more.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week and happy reading.
