Good Morning, Everyone!
Is it just me or did last week fly by way too fast? Between the scorching temperatures, way too much rain, Twitter stupidity, news media lies, and riots, the week has been a blast. Add in my 72-hour flu, I've been peachy! And, no, I don't have the coronavirus. Instead, I had the head-in-the-toilet virus.
After a lengthy debate with myself, I have brought back The Midnight Horror Review, which I will post every Saturday night at 11:59 PM. It didn't exactly pan out last night because of technical issues; though the first recent post got published later.
FYI: It should be mandatory to pass an IQ test before being allowed to have a Twitter account. There are way too many people in this world that have no common sense. They let whatever is "trending" take over their brains, instead of thinking for themselves. It's sad!
What Am I Reading?
My current read is Cross Shadows by Andrew Huff. I'll be posting a review for it on June 10th for a book tour. Look for my review for The Marvelous Mechanical Man by Rie Sheridan Rose on June 16th.
Next, I'll be reading The Trustworthy One by Shelley Shepard Gray. For those of you who don't already know, I used to read many Amish romances. The publisher sent me an egalley last month.

What's New on the Bookshelf?
On Monday, I found three paperbacks at the thrift store - Blood Hollow by William Kent Krueger, The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury, and A Princess of Landover by Terry Brooks.
There were no new books at Dollar Tree, but I picked up three titles I had been eyeing for a while. The books are Brazen: A Valentino Mystery, Shoot: A Valentino Mystery, and The Sundown Speech by Loren D. Estleman. I've read nothing by the author, but the covers are intriguing.
Recent books on my Kindle are Star Trek: Voyager: Incident At Arbuk by John Gregory Betancourt, Star Trek: DS9: The Heart of the Warrior by John Gregory Betancourt, Star Trek: DS9: The Big Game by Sandy Schofield, Star Trek: DS9: The Siege by Peter David, and Star Trek: Discovery: Dead Endless by David Galanter. All these Star Trek titles were 99 cents each. Star Trek: Picard: The Last Best Hope is also on sale for $1.99. I already read and reviewed it from OverDrive this year, so I don't believe I'll be buying it. Even though it wasn't the greatest read, $1.99 is a great price for it.
Also, on my Kindle is the e-novella Promises Of Tomorrow by Shelley Shepard Gray, which I received from Gallery Books.

One individual comes to mind when you mention 'people who shouldn't be allowed to have Twitter accounts.' I don't think I've intentionally watched horror in decades, but that cover does look interesting. Thanks for sharing :)
