Blu-ray Review - Fit To Kill (1993)

The eighth installment of Andy Sidaris's Triple B series, Fit To Kill (AMAZON, Walmart, Best Buy), is now available to own on Blu-ray from Mill Creek Entertainment, who kindly sent me a copy, along with Hard Hunted, (read my review here) to review on this blog. It includes a movieSpree digital code.

The Triple B (L.E.T.H.A.L. Ladies) series began with 1985's Malibu Express and ended in 1998 with Return To Savage Beach. Andy Sidaris directed these films on a low-budget, with bad acting, cheesy dialogue, over-the-top violence, and plenty of nudity from Playboy Playmates and Penthouse Pets. Malibu Express is a private detective story, while the rest of the series centers on the operatives of The Agency (Molokai Cargo) in Hawaii.

Fit To Kill is the final Triple B movie for Dona Speir, Cynthia Brimhall, and Roberta Vasquez. The plot is a continuation from Hard Hunted (Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart) with R.J. Moore (Sir Roger Moore's son) returning as the villainous Martin Kane. There's a rare Russian diamond, called the Alexa stone, that everyone wants to get their greedy hands-on, including Kane. It's up to Special Agents Donna Hamilton and Nicole Justin, to fight off a bunch of henchmen and protect the Alexa stone.

Bonus Features:

Final Thoughts

Overall, Fit To Kill is slightly better than Hard Hunted, but it's also the silliest out of the entire series with one too many sex dream scenes, which includes a 007 spoof moment of R.J. Moore (Gregory Moore). The movie's title is a ripoff of A View to a Kill, a 007 movie starring Sir Roger Moore.

Never, ever expect you will get an intelligent spy thriller in a Triple B flick because it will disappoint you. Always keep your expectations low, and, maybe, you might find some enjoyment out of these movies. Just remember, they're B-grade with one purpose - to have Playboy and Penthouse models drop their clothes for absolutely no reason. Yes, they're campy and sleazy, but for those of us who remember watching the films late-at-night on cable-television will have a special place in their hearts for them.

FYI: All the "Abilenes" in the Triple B series would make great Stormtroopers because they can't shoot a damn thing.
