Sunday Post - What Should I Read Next?

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer!

Good Morning, Everyone!

I hope everyone is safe and sound this morning! The COVID-19 Virus has hit my county with one confirmed case as of Friday! I've heard rumors of who the individual is, but I don't like spreading rumors, so I'm not going to go into details. The county is under lockdown!

I've been able to visit my grandmother at the nursing home for several weeks. At first, all visitors had to have their temperature taken and sign a release form before entering the building. A few days later, all visitors were banned, but you could drop things off, like laundry. As of March 23rd, no visitors are allowed into the building. My grandmother has a cell phone, so she can call us, but we cannot call her. She puts the phone in a case and then stores it in a plastic container. I have no idea why she does this! Anyway, she's just fine.

My anxiety issues are thru the roof, which has lead to several sleepless nights this past week. Thanks to the spring weather, my allergies kicked in and my eyes are driving me crazy. The only time I was outside this week, besides for taking out the garbage and going to the mailbox, was when I mowed the yard for the first time this year. I attempted to wear a face mask, but my breathing kept fogging my eyeglasses. I ended up taking my glasses off and mowed about 3/4 of the years before I had to pull of the facemask and put my glasses back on,so I could see where I was mowing. At that point of time, my eyes were watering like crazy due to my allergies. FYI: I probably need to buy a pair of goggles to wear with the facemask.

What Am I Currently Reading?

I'm not for sure what I'm going to read next, but there's a good chance it's going to be Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman, a book I didn't know I owned until just a few days ago.

What's In the Mail?

Due to the COVID-19 Virus, I'm not currently ordering any books or requesting any ARCs. Nevertheless, yesterday I received the anthology Writers of the Future, Volume 36, which I requested to review a month or so ago.

What's New on the Bookshelf?

There's nothing new on my Kindle! I am going to continue my Kindle Unlimited subscription for at least one more month, as I want to finish reading all the 007 books.

  2. We haven't been able to visit my grandmother either. I'm hoping once I settle into a new routine I'll start sleeping again.

  3. We cut the grass for the first time this year today and my eyes are going crazy from it too. :(

Take care of yourself! C-19 is everywhere now... We've been in lock down, here in the UK, for a week and have two more to go!

  4. I'm sorry to hear about your anxiety. I've been feeling it too, there are so many unknowns now- and so much bad news- that it's hard to deal with for sure. Allergies are tough too with it being spring, especially with Covid now and being afraid to even get a sniffle! We had windows open and while the fresh air was nice, it kept making me sneeze and then of course you're washing your hands like crazy lol.

I'd love to see your thoughts on the 007 books.

Wishing you a good week ahead.
