Adam Degore's personal need to find a cure for vampirism drives him to ensnare a vampire, but the creature he captures is Dracula's daughter. Worse yet, he's drawn to her—a monster he's vowed to kill.

Despite her father's wishes, Willow chooses to live among humans instead of the vampire conclave where she would be safe. She wants a life filled with more than shadows. Being captured by a human, not to mention falling in love with one, is not part of her plan.

With vampires and blood hunters closing in on their chosen prey, Adam and Willow need to trust one another. But will that trust come in time for them to survive and find a future together?

Let me start out by saying I love the cover for Bloodborn. It reminds me of the older Gothic horror novels where every cover would feature a castle or mansion in the background and a woman wearing a Victorian dress running away from it.

Bloodborn centers around Dracula's daughter, Willow, teaming up with a blood hunter (a vampire hunter), Adam DeGore, who has a major grudge against vampires. His entire family was murdered by vamps. Well, all except for his younger brother who was affected by the blood lust curse. Adam keeps his brother locked up in the hope that he will one day find a cure. I'm not going to give away any more details on the plot as you can read the book for yourself.

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed reading Bloodborn. Just because I like a cover doesn't mean always mean I'm going to like the book. I'm glad that wasn't the case with Bloodborn. It's a well-written supernatural tale with lively dialogue and detailed descriptions. The story reminds of the old Hammer Films horror flicks, only with better characters.

If you like vampire stories, make sure to look for Bloodborn!
