What To Do
1. Post on your blog answering this question:
What is your opinion of bibliotherapy? Do you think this is a useful way of dealing with psychological issues? If you've used yourself, or know someone who has, what books(s) would you recommend?
3. Visit other blogs in the list and comment on their posts. Try to spend some time on the blogs reading a few posts and possible become a new follower. The purpose of the hop is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

Billy's Answer
I had no idea what bibliotherapy was until I "googled" it. Yeah, I believe reading books is great for mental health. Personally, reading has always been a stress reliever for me. Now, I don't know if reading can emotionally heal someone. I need to read more on "book therapy" before I can give a more logical opinion on the subject.

I guess I should've looked up the proper definition too. I took it as someone reading books to help them deal with things in life or whatever is troubling them. Ultimately I think it's the person's choice rather than it being something prescribed.

Are the books really prescribed? I would rather have a book recommended to me than prescribed.
DeleteYeah, I had to look it up too, although I should have known being a teaching assistant in a primary school! We frequently use books to help pupils process.

I find reading helps with stress too!
ReplyDeleteSame, I didn't know what it was, had to look it up. And same, reading is great, just not sure how effective it is as therapy.
