  Billy's Answer

If I had to narrow down to one classic title .... then I would have to pick To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I first read the book in 7th grade English in 1994. (Yes, I'm feeling a little bit old while writing this.) Then I had to read it two times during my high school years for an English class and a Literature class. I've reread read it several more times over the years. It's actually on my to-do-reading-list for this year.

  1. I think the first time I read that one was in 9th grade English class. Classics were never really my favorite kind of read, unless you count fairy tales! Lol. Although, after years of reading classics I just didn't like, I did finally find one in my senior year!

    1. Classics are mixed bag for me as well. Some are wonderful and others are blah blah blah.

  3. Hello, 1st time joining in ;-) I don't read many classics now but I have fond memories of A Study in Scarlet by Sir Arthur Doyle. When I was in my early twenties, I found a lovely little red hardback copy in a local charity shop dating from the 1930's. I loved the story because it was a great mystery that I enjoyed trying to solve and had vampire overtures which appeased my paranormal interest - an interest which hasn't left me.

  4. To Kill a Mockingbird is a great novel! It’s a classic for people who don’t like classics and it is also a classic for people who do like classics. All around perfect book, I think it is in my top 100 favorite books :)
