Bookends #3

What am I currently reading?

I

I hope everyone has had a good Memorial Day. I've been under the weather for the past few days with a cold sore, so I haven't felt like reading much. However, I am currently reading the historical-fiction Dragon Teeth by Michael Crichton, which I hope to finish either tonight or early tomorrow morning.

What am I reading next?

Well, I plan on quickly reading The Great Chattanooga Bicycle Race as I need to have my review posted on June 1st! Then I'm jumping right into Into The Water by Paula Hawkins, which is the book I checked out at the library last Tuesday. I wanting to get it read this week, so I can return it on Saturday.

Are there any new books on my bookshelves?

I received Crazy House by James Patterson and Gabrielle Charbonnet on Saturday. I had ordered it a few days prior. I'm not sure when I'll get around to reading it.

Two BookLook review copies arrived in the mail last week. The titles are An Amish Summer by Shelley Shepard Gray, Amy Clipston, Kathleen Fuller, and Kelly Irvin; and Quilts, Barns, & Buggies: Amish Quilts and Proverbs Coloring Book illustrated by Julianne St. Clair. Yeah, I know the second title isn't exactly what I consider a 'real' book, but I'm still including it this week's post. I should have both titles reviewed pretty quickly on here.

I genuinely cherish the thoughts and insights of my readers, and I wholeheartedly welcome your engagement. However, to foster a truly constructive dialogue, I’ll be keeping a careful eye on the comments section. This means I’ll be moderating to weed out any spammy detritus, overly harsh critiques, or contributions that don’t add anything meaningful to the conversation. Think of it as my little corner of the internet—a space where everyone can share their perspectives without the noise. Let’s make this a place where ideas can flourish and grow, rather than wither away in the shadows of irrelevance.
