Billy's Thoughts: The one of the most easiest gift to buy someone for Christmas is a DVD or Blu-ray. Whether you purchase it at full price or at a discounted price at a Black Friday Sale, a DVD or Blu-ray can make a wonderful present.

HBO Home Entertainment has released several new titles this year, including About Looking: The Complete Series & Movie, Game of Thrones: The Complete Sixth Season, Game of Thrones: Seasons 1-6 Set, and the 8-part miniseries The Night Of.

All of HBO's hit series, movies, and miniseries (including The Night Of) are available to stream on HBO NOW. If you know someone who is into streaming, then you might want to look into getting them an HBO NOW Gift Card. The gift cards are available in $25 and $50 at Walmart, Best Buy and GameStop stores throughout the U.S., and will launch at H-E-B grocery stores in Texas sometime this month.

HBO NOW is available on android phones and tablets, Amazon FireTV, Fire Tablet, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Samsung Smart TVs.

I wish I had the time to feature all the new HBO's titles for this year's Holiday Gift Guide, but with limited time I had decided to review only "The Night Of" DVD, which is also available on Blu-ray.

Based on the British series Criminal Justice, "The Night Of" centers on a Pakistani-American college student, Nasir "Naz" Khan (played by Riz Ahmed) having a one night stand with a young woman, Andrea (played by Sofia Black D'Elia). Later, the woman is stabbed to death. Not knowing what else to do, Naz leaves the crime scene, but he's quickly pulled over by the police for reckless driving.

Of course the authorities eventually figure out Naz is the prime suspect in the Andrea's murder. This is where John Stone (played by John Turturro), a criminal lawyer comes into the picture, who just happens to have stopped by the police station the same night Naz is arrested. Without even knowing the charges, Stone volunteers to defend Naz.

I missed out watching "The Night Of" on HBO during the summer, but I am glad that I got a chance to watch the 3-disc DVD set. The scripts have been tightly written with an intriguing murder mystery that keeps you guessing until the final episode. The entire cast does a fantastic job in their roles.

The picture quality and sound on the DVDs are great. I do wish there were a few special features or bonus extras on the discs. It does come with a Digital HD code.

Overall, I enjoyed watching "The Night Of" DVD and I do recommend it as a stocking stuffer this for Christmas as well as the HBO NOW Gift Card.
