Fitness & Coffee Sundays: RIMSports Fitness Gloves Review

I do hope everyone didn't stuff themselves with too many sweets over the holidays! While I did let myself have a few pieces of fudge, I kept my sugar intake to a minimum, and I was able to drop a few pound during the last two weeks thanks to exercise and a dietary supplement that I've been taking.

My original intention was to kick off a new weekly post called "Fitness & Coffee Sundays" on January 3, but I decided to go ahead and write my first post today. What will my new posts be about? Well, I'll have a small rambling about my own exercise routines and, then, I'll feature a review or spotlight on a fitness related product.

While there are a lot of different workout programs, supplements, and fitness apparel on the market, most of it is geared toward toward women. Trust me on this, I get many review requests for products that are made strictly for women, which I've turned down each opportunity. Well, that is until I made the decision to broaden my review horizons starting with this post.

Last week, I was sent a pair of RIMSports Fitness Gloves to test out and give my unbiased review. Yes, as you can see from the picture, these gloves are pink and are clearly marketed for women. Whether the packaging says "women's" or "men's," when it comes to fitness gloves, they're all typically unisex, meaning anyone can wear them. These gloves are available in X-Small to X-Large. Each pair retails for $39.99, but is currently on sale for $29.99 on Amazon.com.

The gloves are made from thin, breathable fabric. The palm side has a suede-like padding. The Velcro strap is extra long and easily secures the glove to your wrist.

Final Thoughts: The main purpose of the fitness gloves is to help keep your hands safe while lifting a barbell or dumbbells; since your hand is more comfortable, you'll be able to do more reps. The gloves also add comfort and padding during pullups and pushups. They're also great to wear during kickboxing or MMA-style workouts. Overall, I do like the #RIMSports Fitness Gloves. I wore them during a few Tae Bo Workouts and for lifting some dumbbells, and I had absolutely no problems with them; actually, the gloves helped me get a stronger grip on the dumbbells.
