Billy's Review:

Well, Christmas is only a week away, which means there are only a few shopping days left, but I'm sure some people still have one or two family members or friends to buy for. Instead of getting a typical gift card, you should give them a subscription to a coffee club.

Over the weekend, I received a sample from The Moustache Coffee Club, a coffee curation club, where the coffee beans is shipped on the exact same day the beans are roasted!

The sample of coffee beans that were sent to me is called Columbian Samaniengo, which was grown on the Finca San Francisco farm in Santa Cruz, Narina, Columbia. The coffee region is very close to the equator! The farmers there are allowed to plant the coffee plantations at high elevations, where the plants are exposed to the rich volcanic ash in the ground. Then the coffee is sun dried on the farmer’s patios. The beans were later roasted by Alana's Coffee on December 11th before finally arriving in mail box on December 14th.
The coffee grounded!

Being a coffee lover, I was more than excited receiving a bag of coffee beans in the mail, which finally gave me an excuse to use my new coffee grinder. Once I opened the bag, I instantly smelled the newly roasted coffee beans, which I thought smelled like mango. I checked the note card that came with the bag and I was right. The coffee bean has a mango aroma with a passion fruit and sweet lemonade acidity.

The coffee beans grounded up nicely in the coffee grinder and I quickly brewed me a pot of coffee. By the time it was finished brewing the mango aroma filled my entire house. The coffee tasted as good as it smelled and it has a smooth pleasant taste.

Overall, I loved the Columbian Samaniengo coffee bean samples I received from The Moustache Coffee Club. If you are looking to get the perfect gift for a family member, friend or for yourself, I highly recommend trying out the club!

  2. The correct spelling of the country is Colombia not Columbia. Columbia is not a country. And after doing some research, it seems like the coffee is actually called Colombia Samaniego as well. http://www.gocoffeego.com/products/Klatch-Coffee/Colombian-Narino-Samaniego-2118.html

    1. The Moustache Coffee Club calls the country Columbia in the description given to me. The coffee is also referred as Columbian Samaniengo. The spelling is correct according to the company. Maybe it is a typo or maybe the company did this on purpose.

  3. I'm going by the information sent to me by the The Moustache Coffee Club! The coffee I reviewed is called Columbian Samaniengo. This is the name The Moustache Coffee Club uses.
