In the style of Regular Show and the late Futrama comes the Comedy Network's Adventure Time: The Complete Second Season, now available to own on DVD and Blu-ray, featuring 26 wild episodes, 26 commentaries and "The Crew Of Adventure Time, Interviewed By Pendleton Ward."
Inspired by the he fantasy role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons, Adventure Time was created by Pendleton Ward. The series centers on a human boy named Finn and best friend/adoptive brother Jake, who happens to be a dog and is voiced by John DiMaggio (Bender from Futurama). Set in the post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo, Finn and Jake set off on a new adventure in every exciting episode; sometimes saving : Princess Bubblegum, hanging out with :Marceline the Vampire Queen, or stopping the Ice King from whatever scheme he is currently up to.
The 26-episodes on the two-disc set are:

It Came From The Nightsophere

At first glance, Adventure Time's animation style my look a little silly, but after watching a few episodes you'll learn the style matches the tones of the series, which feels like an adventure video game. The characters names are a little silly, like Princess Bubblegum or Lady Rainicorn and a few characters have odd powers, like with Jake, who can shape, grow and even shrink if he wanted to. Though the series is aimed at children, the crazy plots can attract adult viewers as well. My favorite episode is "It Came from the Nightosphere," where Finn must help Marceline and her father reconnect, but then he must stop her father from stealing all the souls from Ooo. Overall, Adventure Time: The Complete Second Season has plenty of humor, adventure and action to satisfy all fans. It would make a great Christmas present!
