There are only a limited amount of shopping days left until Christmas Day and finding the perfect gift for a seamstress or quilter in your family can be more difficult than you think it would be. Sure you can get them a quilt book, sewing pattern, needles or fabrics, but every quilter/seamstress has different tastes in patterns and fabrics. Plus, there is a good chance they already have a copy of the quilt book or pattern. Your next logical step is to buy a sewing machine attachment.

Recently, I had the chance to review the nifty LED Sewing Machine Light from Might Bright. Yes, I'm well aware most sewing machines have a built-in light, but the brightness in those are very limited.

The Mighty Bright LED Sewing Machine Light has two detachable adhesive bases for easy placement on any sewing machine. The light's purpose is to help illuminate those hard to see threads, dark fabrics and matching seems on your sewing projects. It has an adjustable and bendable 5.5" neck, which holds the light into place. You don't have to worry about a cord being in your way, as the light uses 1 AAA battery. The LED is very durable and can last 100,000 hours, so you never have to worry about replacing it.

Honestly, I'm not a seamstress or a quilter, though I do know how to cross stitch, but I have plenty of people in my family who are quilters, including my mother, which I borrowed her sewing machine for the pictures in this review. Mighty Bright created the LED Sewing Machine Light as their customers were requesting such a light. Many sewing machines have poorly lit light bulbs, which can be a problem when working on a project. The LED Sewing Machine Light can be a handy device to have nearby when you need it. There are two adhesive bases included with the light, which is perfect if you own two sewing machines. The light easily slips off the base, so you can use it on the other machine in a flash. The bendable neck is perfect to help illuminate a needle. Just like the company's name says, the light is mighty bright! Overall, I think the Mighty Bright LED Sewing Machine Light solves an important problem for crafters. Plus, it can make a great stocking stuffer for Christmas!
