Billy's Review:

After all the holiday dinners everyone is going to regret eating that extra piece of fudge, which is one of reasons why the top New Year's Resolution is losing weight, though you probably don't want to think about 2014 just yet, as you still need to finish your Christmas shopping. Dec. 25th is just over two weeks away, so there isn't much time left. If you have a family member who is an athlete or is planning in getting in shape next year, a great idea for a gift would be something fitness related, like an exercise DVD, dumbbells or a container of whey protein.

Protein shakes are great to drink after a long jog or an intense workout, but there are so many on the market it is hard to choose which one is the best to buy.

Recently, I was sent a 840g container of Natural Isolate: Whey Protein Isolate (vanilla) from Bodylogix along with three 31g sample packages of Natural Whey: Whey Protein (dark chocolate) to try out for this review. The source of the protein comes from grass-fed cows in New Zealand, making the protein free of bovine growth hormone and antibiotics.

Bodylogic use cold processed cross-flow microfiltration to make every batch of whey protein, making sure they are giving you the best bioavailable protein possible. The protein has been instantized using IP soy lecithin, making the protein GMO free!

Containing 25 grams of protein per scoop, Bodylogix Natural Isolate: Whey Protein Isolate is a fast and simple way to the get the nutrients you need after a great workout. Remember protein helps build muscle and muscle helps burn body fat. A scoop of protein can be added to a 6-8oz glass of cold water or you can add it to your favorite beverage, like skim milk, soy or almond. You can also add a scoop to your favorite fruit smoothie to give it an extra boost. The Natural Whey is great way to get an all-natural source of protein for a breakfast drink or as a post-workout shake. The dark chocolate whey protein samples tasted like a chocolate milkshake, but without the extra calories. The Natural Isolate vanilla whey protein tastes great when mixed with skim milk, but I recommend using a blender or a milk frother to make sure everything is mixed correctly. Overall, I think Bodylogix's Natural Whey and Natural Isolate are the best protein mixes currently on the market and making a shake out of them will be a great way to kickoff 2014!

  1. A whey protein isolate is a dietary supplement created by filtering milk protein. Need a isolate protein for healthy body.
