I recently read Animal Farm for the first time and it was absolutely fantastic! Great choice.
ReplyDeleteI totally forgot that George Orwell would be considered a classic. I'm crazy about 1984. I swear that book is one of the reasons that I love to read.

I have yet to read Shirley Jackson ... shhhh! ... I KNOW!! WHAT kind of lover of macabre fiction am I if I haven't even read "The People Under the Stairs" and "The Haunting of Hill House"? (hangs her head in shame and goes off into the ether) Definitely needed this reminder. Great list!
