Review:

In this sequel to Leaving Lancaster, Holly Fisher had left her home in suburban Seattle and traveled to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where she reunited with her long-lost relatives, including her Amish grandmother.

Instead of taking her time to understand the Amish ways, she jumps right in as she has fallen in love with Zach, a Mennonite veterinarian, who quickly proposes marriage to her. In her eyes, Zach would make the perfect husband, but her mother and Amish grandmother think she is rushing a bit too quickly. It seems Zach has a dubious past that he has been hiding from her.

Nevertheless, Holly is love in Zach and is determined to marry him, which is until she meets another charming Amish man. Now she is questioning her future, and to make matters worse, someone from her past returns.

I have never read the first book in the series, but the second book is easy to follow and can be considered more of a standalone. I'm a big fan of Amish books, so I was more than eager to sign up to review this book from Litfuse Publicity in exchange for my honest review. This is my first read from author Kate Lloyd and it will not be my last. She has a wonderful touch with dialogue and scenery descriptions. Overall, Pennsylvania Patchwork is a great addition to the Amish genre and I recommend it to others.
