[Review]- Ann M. Martin: The Story of the Author of "The Baby-sitters Club"

I was fortunate to come across this out-of-print book at a thrift store. This is an excellent autobiography that I would recommend to any Ann Martin fan or children's book author.
From Ann Martin's diaper days to her teaching days, you will discover how she rose through the ranks of a publishing house to become a bestselling children's book author.

Ann left her editorial job after publishing her first book, "Bummer Summer," and several other books. She writes books for other series and novelizations, among other things. She was eventually approached about writing a new series called "The Baby-sitter Club," which changed her life forever.

This is a must-read for any aspiring children's book author. It's motivating! -- ★★★★★

1/20/20- You can tell that this was my very first post and that I had no idea how to even begin writing a blog piece, much less a review. This biography and the books from The Babysitter Club are no longer mine. Don't get me wrong, they are fantastic novels for kids, but over the years, my reading preferences have changed, so I gave all the volumes to the Salvation Army.
