Review:
My favorite new protagonist Persephone Alcmedi is back for her third round of mystery and paranormal suspense in Fatal Circle, which finds Persephone continuing to take care of her grandmother and her foster daughter, Beverly. She is just like another person. She pays the bills by writing a syndicated newspaper column, reading the Tarot cards for a variety of people, and she makes a little extra cash by kenneling werewolves in her basement. But her life is now in chaos as she has just killed a fairy on live television, which occurred at the end of Hallowed Circle. With the help of her werewolf lover, Johnny, and the vampire Menessos, she is able to prevent an all-out fairy invasion, but she is still not safe.
In order to protect her family, she agrees to go into hiding at Menessos's place as his new Master's Witch. Of course Menessos wants something in return. He wants the magical bond between him and the fairies to be broken and only Persephone can make that happen since she is the Lustrata.
