Directed & produced by Paul Hoen (Camp Rock 2), the film stars Milo Manheim, Meg Donnelly (ABC's American Housewife), Trevor Tordjman, Kylee Russell, Carla Jeffery, Kingston Foster, and James Godfrey.

ZOMBIES is set in the small community of Seabrook, where fifty years ago a lime soda plant explosion turned half of the population into zombies. Those who weren't infected built a wall to keep the zombies out and forcing them to live in their own community called Zombietown. Fast forward to the present, the government requires all zombies to wear "Z-Band" bracelets that sends  electromagnetic pulses to keep zombies from craving brains.

The film centers on Addison, a teenager who's excited to be starting a brand new year of school, as she's going to be trying out for the Seabrook High cheerleader team, which is lead by her cousin Bucky. Addison isn't exactly normal, as she actually has white hair, which was probably passed down to her from her grandfather who was bitten by a zombie, but her parents make her wear a blonde wig.

The first day of school also marks the very first time the high school will be allowing zombie teenagers to attend classes. Zed, Eliza, and Bonzo, along with a handful of other zombie teenagers, were excited about starting school at Seabrook High; well, that is until they actually arrived there. Ordered by the principal, all of the zombie students must attend classes in the basement. Also, zombies aren't allowed to join school activities, including sports. Now, this is a major disappointment for Zed because he was wanting to tryout for the Mighty Shrimp football team.

After the "zombie alarm" is accidentally set off, Addison bumps into Zed inside a "zombie bunker," and the two quickly begin a friendship. Later, Zed convinces the principal and the football coach into letting him join the team. Thanks to Eliza's help by hacking his "Z-Band" to make him more aggressive, Zed leads the team to several victories.

Despite becoming the school's football star, Bucky and a few other cheerleaders are determined to get  Zed and the rest of the zombie students kicked out of school.

Arriving on Blu-ray this coming Tuesday, July 7, 2015 is the post-apocalyptic drama film Maggie. Directed by Henry Hobson, the film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger (Terminator Genysis), Abigail Breslin (Zombieland) and Joely Richardson (Nip/Tuck). Special Features include: Director's Commentary, "Making Maggie" Featurette, Deleted Scenes, Cast/Crew Interviews and a Trailer Gallery.

In a role that is a complete opposite of his action-flicks, Arnold Schwarzenegger plays Wade, a father who retrieves his daughter Maggie (played by Abigail Breslin) from a hospital in the city. Maggie has been infected with the Necroambulist virus that slowly turns people into flesh-eating zombies. Against the doctor's orders, Wade takes Maggie back home to their farmhouse. Fearing they'll be infected too, he sends Maggie's step-siblings, Bobby and Molly (played by Aidan and Carsen Flowers) to live with their aunt while Maggie spends her last days at home with him and her stepmother Caroline (played by Joely Richardson).

Arriving on DVD on Tuesday February 24, 2015 from Image Entertainment is the zombie-bloodfest anthology Zombieworld. The film features short films directed by Jesse Baget, Adrian Cardona, Rafa Dengra, Luke Asa Guidici, Phil Haine, Peter Horn, Jared Marshall, Cameron McCulloch, David Munoz, Adam O'Brien, Zach Ramelan, Paul Shrimpton, Vedran Marjanovic Wekster & Tommy Woodard and stars Bill Oberst Jr., José María Angorilla, Marc Velasco, Noé Blancafort and Salvador Llós. There are no special features or extras besides the Short Film - "Marathon Apocalypse."

"There is nowhere to hide...nowhere to run.... the Zombie Apocoalypse has come, and our world now belongs to the dead! From Irleand, Canada, Australia, Europe and all over the U.S., the bone-chilling news reports tell the same gruesome tale - waking corpses terrorize and devour the living. Only a few desperate humans find the courage to stand and fight for their last chance at survival. But the hordes of undead keep coming, and there's only one thing on the menu - us."

Zombieworld centers on a worldwide zombie apocalypse and one of the last newscasters, Marvin Gloat (played by Bill Oberst Jr.), is determined to stay on the air and inform the world of the zombie invasion, despite the fact that he has been infected.

Three months after the worldwide zombie outbreak that wiped 99.9% of the population, a small group of British survivors are trying to survive. They have heard that there is a ship at sea that is taking the remaining survivors to safety. The group is lead by Maddox (played by Philip Brodie) whom has just taken in a few more survivors at the beachside compound, which includes the sole survivor of the first movie's film crew, Leanne, (played by Alix Wilton Regan who is replacing Victoria Summer). Before long the zombies invade the compound causing Maddox, Leanne, Jonesy, who is constantly filming with his camera, and a few others to runaway.

With no vehicles, they run on foot looking for any place for shelter. Eventually they come across some booby-traps and the remains of headless zombies in a wooded area. The carefully survey a cabin from a distance where a group of human bandits are watching another man sexually assault a female zombie. The deadly Goke (played by Russell Jones) comes out of the cabin and murders the man. That is when Leanne recognizes Goke and his henchman Manny as she had encountered them in the first movie.

    I would have to say Abraham Lincoln has always been my favorite president. As a kid, I read books about him, and I did an oral report on Abe for my 6th grade history class, where we got to dress up like someone historically famous. Years later, I learned through genealogy that Abe is a distant cousin. Now it looks like Hollywood has become interested in him, again, with the upcoming horror flick Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter, and Steven Spielberg’s bio Lincoln. In addition, The ASYLUM has released their own horror flick titled Abraham Lincoln VS Zombies, in which they have nicely sent me a complimentary DVD for this review.

 It seems like zombie tales have been done to death since the success of The Walking Dead, but as I am a zombie and an Abe fan, I was intrigue by the title. The prologue shows that a young Abe had to kill his mother, after she was an infected with a zombie virus, with a sickle. (What a horrible thing to experience at a young age.) Years go by and Abe is now President of the Untied States during the great American Civil War.
