Based on the musical Freaky Friday: A New Musical by Bridget Carpenter, which is also based on the 1972 children's book "Freaky Friday" by Mary Rodgers, the 2018 Disney Channel film stars Cozi Zuehlsdorff as Ellie; Heidi Blickenstaff as Katherine; Ricky He as Adam; Alex Désert as Mike; and Jason Maybaum as Fletcher.

Directed by Steve Carr, the movie centers around teenager Ellie and her over-organized mother, Katherine, who accidentally switch bodies after they both touch a magical hourglasses at the same time. Of course, this event happens the day before Katherine's wedding to Mike Harper.

After breaking the hourglass (which was given to Ellie by her late father), they decide the best option to switch back to their own bodies is to track down the other hourglass that Ellie's father had given to Katherine. However, there is one problem, Katherine sold the hourglass to an antique store. 

Katherine and Ellie must live in the other's shoes for the entire day, until they can find the hourglass. Katherine has to go to school, deal with her daughter's bully, and participate in a scavenger hunt. Ellie must act like her mother so you can fool a wedding journalist and photographer. Plus, she has to help Mike with the last minute wedding decisions.

Now available on DVD from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment is American Horror Story: Cult: The Complete Seventh Season, featuring all 11 episodes from the horror anthology series. The only special features on the 3-disc set are FX Promo Spots.

Created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, the Cult season stars Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Cheyenne Jackson, Billie Lourd, and Alison Pill.

Set in Brookfield Heights, Michigan around the 2016 U.S. presidential election, this seventh season centers on Ally Mayfair-Richard (played by Sarah Paulson), a restaurant owner who becomes extremely upset after Donald Trump wins the election. She has suffered from several phobias, including a deep fear of clowns, and all of these fears come back to haunt her after the election, which impacts her wife, Ivy (played by Ivy Alison Pill), and their son, Oz (played by Cooper Dodson).

After a serious of bizarre incidents, Ivy starts to suspect Ally is losing her mind. However, the truth is that Ally has been targeted by a cult, lead by psychotic Kai Anderson (played Evan Peters). Kai is a troubled young man who feeds off the fear and hate of others. After the election, he jumps into the world of politics by running for a seat on the city council with a little help from his cult members, who uses violence to get their way.

Available now on DVD from CBS Television Studio and Lionsgate Home Entertainment is MacGyver: Season 2, featuring all 23 episodes from the 2017-2018 season.

Based on the 1985-1992 series of the same name created by Lee David Zlotoff, the reboot stars Lucas Till, George Eads, Tristin Mays, Justin Hires and Meredith Eaton. Unlike the original series, the new series is less MacGyver and more like Mission: Impossible, with the title character being one member of the Phoenix Foundation team. 

The first episode of the second season (DIY or DIE) centers around MacGyver (played by Lucas Till) coming to a dead end on the hunt to find his missing father. However, he does find his father's watch, which could hold clues to his location. As the season unfolds, MacGyver begins to believe his boss, Matilda "Matty" Webber (played by Meredith Eaton), is somehow involved with his father's disappearance.

Meanwhile, the team is still on the hunt for the escaped assassin Murdoc (played by David Dastmalchian), who is terrorizing them throughout the season. Also, MacGyver and his team travel around the world stopping terrorist, thieves, and other baddies.

The Power Rangers franchise is celebrating it's 25th year with a special Super Ninja Steel anniversary episode which will air on Nickelodeon on Monday night. In the meantime, fans can spend their time watching the Power Rangers: Ninja Steel: The Complete Season  DVD, which was just released last week from Lionsgate Home Entertainment.

Adapted from the Japanese Shuriken Sentai Ninninger series, Power Rangers Ninja Steel centers around an the most popular intergalactic game show called Galaxy Warriors, which the participants must battle to prove who is the greatest warrior. The reigning champion Galvanax arrives on Earth in search of the mythical Ninja Nexus Prism, which will give him the power to be invisible. To protect his two sons, Master Dane Romero split the Nexas Star into six separate stars, which were made from the Nexus metal, and he sacrifices himself. Galvanax wasn't completely defeated that day, as his minions Madame Odius and Ripcon captured Master Romero's youngest son, Brody.

Fast forward ten years,  when the Ninja Nexus Prism, which contains the Ninja Power Stars, appears on Galvanax's ship. A teenage Brody, an alien friend Mick Kanic, and a robot named Redbot escape with the Prism to Earth, where they crash land near the town of Summer Cove. Galavanax sends his best warriors to retrieve Ninja Power Stars, but it's too late!

The Prism gives Brody one of the Ninja Power Stars, which gives him the power to become the Ninja Steel Red Ranger. Four random teenagers are given their own stars as well. Preston Tien becomes the Ninja Steel Blue Ranger; Calvin Maxwell becomes the Ninja Steel Yellow Ranger; Hayley Foster becomes the Ninja Steel White Rangers; and Sarah Thompson becomes the Ninja Steel Pink Ranger.

Later, in the season a sixth Ranger is introduced - Levi Weston, who becomes the Ninja Steel Gold Ranger. Together, the Rangers battle Galvanax, his warrior contestants and minions to save Earth from being destroyed.

Power Rangers Ninja Steel: The Complete Season contains all 22 episodes from the twenty-fourth season on a 3-disc set, including the Halloween and Christmas specials. There are no special features or bonus extras. However, it does comes come with an excerpt from the upcoming Boom! Studios artist tribute book!

I spent my weekend binge watching Strike Back: Season Five, which landed on DVD and Blu-ray last week from HBO Home Entertainment.

If you're not already familiar with Strike Back, then let me give you a quick briefing on the series. Strike Back is loosely based on the novel of the same name by author Chris Ryan. The original season, titled Chris Ryan's Strike Back (or known in American as Strike Back: Origins), aired on Sky1 in the United Kingdom in 2010 and starred Richard Armitage (The Hobbit trilogy) and Andrew Lincoln (The Walking Dead).

A second season consisting of 10-episodes was ordered with a brand new cast with one little twist - it was co-produced by Cinemax, which meant more violence was added, as well as nudity, sex scenes, and adult language. Season Two was titled Strike Back: Project Dawn in the UK, but here in America it was titled Strike Back: Season One and starred Philip Winchester and Sullivan Stapleton as soldiers who work for the "Section 20," an elite British military group who are responsible for tracking down terrorists. The actors returned for three more seasons - Strike Back: Vengeance (Season Two), Strike Back: Shadow Warfare (Season Three), and Strike Back: Legacy (Season Four).

After a two-year hiatus, the series returned last fall in the UK with a new cast, titled Strike Back: Retribution. Here in the America, the series aired on Cinemax earlier this year as Strike Back: Season Five. The cast include: Warren Brown as Sergeant Thomas ‘Mac’ McAllister, Daniel MacPherson as Sergeant Samuel Wyatt, Alin Sumarwatta as Lance Corporal Gracie Novan, and Roxanne McKee as Captain Natalie Reynolds.


The ten-part season centers around the escape of Omair Idrisi (played by Don Hany), a terrorist who plans on launching a deadly attack. Section 20 is assigned to track down Idrisi and his British wife, Jane Lowry (played by Katherine Kelly), which will take the unit across North Africa, the Middle East and Europe.

Available now on DVD from Disney Home Entertainment is Muppet Babies: Time To Play!, featuring 4 twenty-two minute episodes. As added bonus, there are 2 additional episodes, 10 bonus "Show and Tell" shorts, and 6 music videos.

Muppet Babies debuted back in March on Disney Junior. It's a reboot of the 1984-1991 animated series of the same name, which features the Muppets as toddlers, including Baby Kermit, Baby Piggy, Baby Fozzie, Baby Gonzo, and Baby Animal. Baby Scooter and Baby Skeeter are missing from the reboot, though they can be seen in a picture hanging in the background inside the nursery. They have been replaced by a new character named Summer Penguin.

The series is very similar to the original with the Muppet Babies having adventures at the nursery by the use of their imaginations. 

The voice cast include Matt Danner as Kermit the Frog; Melanie Harrison as Piggy; Dee Bradley Baker as Animal; Ben Diskin as Gonzo; Eric Bauza as Fozzie Bear; Jessica DiCicco as Summer Penguin; and Jenny Slate as Miss Nanny.

 Each episode has 2 eleven-minute segments. The segments featured on this DVD release are:

• Sir Kermit The Brave - To battle his fear of darkness, Kermit imagines that he is a knight.
• Animal Fly Airplane - The Muppet Babies use imagination to take a trip Paris, France on a plane that is piloted by Animal.
• Hatastrophe - After Fozzie's propeller beanie flies over the fence and into Mr. Statler and Mr. Waldorf's yard, Kermit leads a mission to rescue the hat.

Do you remember back in the day when network television would air their weekly low-budget made-for-TV movies?

Unfortunately, I do remember watching a few of these movies during my childhood! Yes, there were a few decent movies once in a great while, but for the most part these films were extremely cheesy with horrible plots and really bad acting.

Now, the only reason why I'm talking about these type of movies is because I had recently watched the 1996 made-for-television movie Mother, May I Sleep with Danger and the 2016 horror remake, which are both currently available on a DVD Double Feature from Mill Creek Entertainment.

The original Mother, May I Sleep with Danger? Tori Spelling as Laurel Lewisohn, a college student who begins a romantic relationship with Kevin Shane (played by Ivan Sergei). Through her eyes, Kevin is a charming college classmate, but in reality he's a psychopath with a deadly past. Kevin easily convinces everyone in Laurel's life that he is the perfect boyfriend for her, well, everyone except for her mother, Jessica (played by Lisa Banes), who believes Kevin is dangerous. Despite her mother's objections, Laurel continues her relationship with Kevin, well, until, he becomes a little bit obsessed with her. By the time she tries to break it off with him, it might be too little, too late for her.

The 2016 version of Mother, May I Sleep with Danger? is less of a remake and more or a reimagining with a horror twist. Produced by James Franco (who also has a small part in the film), the remake drops the "boyfriend is obsessed with my daughter" plot for a vampire-lesbian love story. This time around Tori Spelling plays Julie, the mother of a college student named Leah (played by Leila George). Similar to the original, the daughter falls in love, but this time it's with a vampire, Pearl (played by Emily Meade), and of course the mother believes Pearl is a bad influence on her. Unlike other vampires, Pearl only feeds on abusive males, and she is hellbent on protecting Leah from anyone that will hurt her, including her own Nightwalker clan.

RLJE Films; NOT RATED; 95 mins; Amazon

Recently released to DVD & Blu-ray from RLJE Films is the thriller Terminal. Directed by Vaughn Stein, the film stars Margot Robbie (who is also a co-producer), Simon Pegg, Dexter Fletcher, Max Irons, and Mike Meyers. The film received a limited theatrical run in United States earlier this year.

In this bizarre film noir, Terminal tells two different tales  about two hired killers (played by Dexter Fletcher and Max Irons) on an assassin job and a dying teacher (played by Simon Pegg) who starts a strange and brief friendship with a strange so-called waitress (played by Margot Robbie). Both stories are cleverly intertwined together at the "Terminal," where everything is never what it seems to be.

It turns out that the "waitress" is an assassin as well, who has deadly plans for everyone at the "Terminal"

I don't keep up with all the new animated series, so I had no clue that Big Hero 6: The Series even existed until I heard about the recent DVD release "Back In Action!".

Big Hero 6 was a 2014 Walt Disney computer-animated feature film which was based on the Marvel Comics superhero team. The movie centered around fourteen-year-old Hiro Hamada, who puts together a superhero team to stop a villain who stole his microbots. The team includes Fred, Wasabi, Go Go, Honey Lemon, and Baymax, an an inflatable medical robot that was created by Hiro's deceased brother, Tadashi.

The series debuted on the Disney Channel last November with a 43-minute episode Baymax Returns, which takes place directly after the events of film. The entire voice-cast returned, except for Damon Wayans Jr. (Wasabi) and T.J. Miller (Fred). Their voices were placed by Khary Payton (Washabi) and Brooks Wheelan (Fred).

The series recons the ending of the film with the major differences are Fred naming the team "Big Hero 6" instead of Hiro, the teams identities are a secret from the public, and Aunt Cass now knows about Baymax.

Big Hero 6: The Series - Back In Action DVD features the 43-minute pilot and six 22-minute episodes. As an added bonus, the DVD contains six bonus shorts: Baymax and Hiro, Baymax and Wasabi, Baymax and Go Go, Baymax and Fred, Baymax and Honey Lemon, & Baymax and Mochi.

The seven episodes on the DVD are:

• Baymax Returns - Hiro rebuilds Baymax just in time to join Wasabi, Go Go, Fred, and Honey Lemon as Big Hero 6, a team of superheros who fight crime throughout the city.
• Issue 188 - Two female villains calling themselves "High Voltage" terrorizes the city and it's up to Big Hero 6 to stop them.
• Big Roommates 2 - The team faces off with their first super villain - Globby!
• Food Fight - Krei seeks the help of Big Hero 6 in the retrieval of a gravity device that was stolen by Ninja-chef Momakase.
• Muirahara Woods - Hiro, Fred, and Baymax get lost in the woods and encounter a hermit named Ned Ludd.
• Failure Mode - The team tries to stop Globby from stealing the "City Rises" painting.
• Fred's Bro-Tillion - The Big Hero 6 team helps Fred prepare for his upcoming Bro-Tillion.

Do you remember watching those low-budget Hallmark-produced television miniseries?

Well, I do! I have fond memories of watching campy miniseries on network television and cable channels during the late 1980s and throughout the 1990s (aka - during my childhood). Miniseries are pretty much a thing of the past now, though a new one does show up on cable once in a great while.

Anyway, the only reason why I'm talking about miniseries, is because I watched Jules Verne's Mysterious Island a few nights ago. It's a 2005 miniseries that aired on the Hallmark Channel, and as you can probably tell by the title, it's based on the Jules Verne's 1874 novel "Mysterious Island," which is a crossover sequel to Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and In Search of the Castaways. Mill Creek Entertainment re-released the miniseries on DVD. There are no special features or bonus extras, but the DVD does come with a Digital code that can be redeemed at www.milcreekent.com/redeem.

Directed by Russell Mulcahy (Highlander 1 & 2), the miniseries centers on Captain Cyrus Smith (played by Kyle MacLachlan), his ex-slave Neb (played by Omar Gooding), a nurse named Jane and her teenage daughter Helen (played by Gabrielle Anwar and Danielle Calvert), and a thief named Pencroff (played by Jason Durr) escaping a Confederate prison camp by stealing a hot air balloon. Eventually, the balloon crashes on a uncharted island in the Pacific, the exact same island that occupies the mad inventor Captain Nemo (played by Patrick Stewart).

To survive on the island, Cyrus and company have to outrun giant-size creatures and battle pirates who are searching for buried treasure.

If you're wanting some scary movies to watch this summer, then look no further, as you can now own the DVD set Scared to Death: Horror Movie Collection from Mill Creek Entertainment, featuring a mix of slashers, monsters, and aliens on 4 discs.

Basically, it's a repackaging of three separate DVD releases (Queens of Scream, Possessed by Evil, and Monster Movie Mix), but with a new slipcover. Queens of Scream was released in 2016 and features the horror films "I Know What You Did Last Summer," "Vacancy," "When A Stranger Calls," and "The Cave." Possessed by Evil was also released in 2016. It features five movies: "Devour," "The Plague," "Wind Chill," "Insanitarium," and "Vinyan."

I'm not for sure if Monster Movie Mix is a re-release or not, but it features a mixture of old movies and television shows.

The titles on the Monster Movie Mix are:

• The Corpse Vanishes - A 1942 film starring Bela Lugosi as a mad scientist. 
• Night Fright - A 1967 science fiction tale about a mutated alligator that turns into an ogre-like creature that terrorizes a small town.

• Verdict From Space - A 1951 episode of the "Tales of Tomorrow" anthology series. The episode centers on an inventor named Gordon Kent, who is on trial for murdering a scientist.
• Flash Gordon: Return Of The Androids - A 1954 "Flash Gordon" episode, which centers on Flash Gordon trying to protect the secret location of the Androids.
• Captain Z-Ro: Meteor - A 1956 episode of the children's television series Captain Z-Ro, which centers on the Captain testing out a new spaceship.
• Johnny Jupiter - An "untitled episode" of the ABC's 1953-1954 series Johnny Jupiter, which centers on Duckweather, a young employee at a TV repair shop who gets advice from a magical TV set.

Back during my pre-teen and teenage years, I would watch almost any new television series. As I've gotten older, my interests have changed greatly; to the point that I hardly watch any programs that air on network television. Many of today's scripted series are poorly written and all the so-called reality shows don't appeal to me. So if there's a good series, normally, it goes completely under my radar, which exactly what happened with Secrets and Lies.

Based on the Australian series of the same name, Secrets and Lies is an anthology series that aired for two seasons on ABC from 2015 to 2016. Season One arrived on DVD for the first time from Mill Creek Entertainment last year, featuring 10 episodes on a two-disc set. There are no special features or extras on the DVD.

The first season begins with Ben Crawford (played by Ryan Phillippe), a self-employed contractor, who stumbles upon the body of a five-year-old boy while jogging through the woods early one morning. It turns out that the boy is Tom, the son of his neighbors, Jessica (played by Natalie Martinez) and her estranged husband Scott. With Ben suffering from memory loss from the night before, he becomes the prime suspect in Tom's death; especially, in the eyes of Detective Andrea Cornell (played by Juliette Lewis), who becomes obsessed with solving the case.

After DNA test results confirm that Ben is Tom's biological father, his wife Christy (played by KaDee Strickland) and their daughters, Natalie and Abby (played by Indiana Evans and Belle Shouse), along with the media, begin to believe he's the killer! With no other choice, Ben begins his own investigation in the hoping of clearing his name.

Why is it I don't watch very many indie films? I don't exactly have an answer to very my own question, except for the little fact that many of the films just don't intrigue me. If a movie catches my attention, then I'll most likely watch it.

The comedy-drama "Flower" was released to DVD yesterday by Lionsgate, which happens to be a low-budget indie film. It premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2017 and received a theatrically release back in March. This type of movie would have easily went under my radar, if it wasn't for me receiving a press release about the DVD.

Co-written and directed by Max Winkler, Flower stars Zoey Deutch (Before I Fall, Why Him?), Kathryn Hahn (TV’s “Transparent,” Bad Moms, TV’s “Parks and Recreation”), Tim Heidecker (TV’s “Tim and Eric’s Bedtime Stories”), and Adam Scott (Step Brothers, TV’s “Big Little Lies” and “Parks and Recreation”).

The film centers on Erica Vandross, a complicated and bold teenage girl who spends her after-school hours prostituting herself to older men and then she blackmails them with a little help from her two friends, Kala and Claudine (played by Dylan Gelulaz and Maya Eshet). What is she doing with all the cash she's making? Well, she's saving money to help bail her estranged father out of jail.

Erica's life is forever changed when her mother's boyfriend's son, Luke (played by Joey Morgan), is released from rehab. Luke is a depressed teenager who finds solace in food. His father (played by Tim Heidecker) has tried to get him help, but nothing seems to change Luke's depression. Well, that is until Erica works her charm on him. It turns out that Luke was sexually abused by Will (played by Adam Scott), a junior high teacher. Though he did report the abuse to the police, there was not enough evidence to press charges against the teacher.

To help her possible future stepbrother, Erica comes up with an insane idea that will expose Will's dark secret. However, things don't go as planned.

It's pretty much a none fact on this blog that I started watching horror flicks at a very young age. However, you probably don't know that I also grew up watching Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis comedies, which were aired repeatedly on AMC (before the channel had commercials) during the early 1990s. The first solo Jerry Lewis film that I watched was Rock-A-Bye Baby. I thought I had seen all of his films, well, until Mill Creek Entertainment recently released a Comedy Triple Feature DVD featuring three Jerry Lewis films - "Don't Raise The Bridge, Lower The River," "Hook, L'ne & Sinker," and "3 on a Couch."

Directed by Jerry Paris, Don't Raise The Bridge, Lower The River (1967) has Jerry Lewis playing George Lester, an American who finds himself living in London after marrying a British woman, Pamela (played by Jacqueline Pearce). His profession is more of a con artist. Eventually, his get-rich-quick schemes forces Pamela to leave him after he turns her family's home into a casino. After she gives him a final ultimatum, George is determined to prove to her that he can act like adult by making enough cash to pay her back for the "redesigns" he made on her house. Actually, he's planning on one "get rich" last scheme to steal an electric oil drill blueprints and have his friend Willy (played by (Terry-Thomas) sell the plan in Lisbon.


Directed by George Marshall (his final film), Hook, L'ine & Sinker (1969) has Jerry Lewis playing Peter Ingersoll, a former insurance salesman who's about to undergo surgery in Chile. Before the surgery begins, he explains to the medical staff about how he got injured. His story begins when his best friend, Dr. Scott Carter (Peter Lawford), tells him that he only has a short time to live. After telling his wife (played by Anne Francis) the dreadful news, she convinces him to spend his final days on a fishing trip around the world and pay for it all by charging it to credit cards.

After racking up $10,000 dollars in bills, Peter learns that Dr. Carter made a mistake and he's in fact not dying! Together, they come up with a scheme to fake his death.


Produced and directed by Jerry Lewis, Three on a Couch (1966) has Lewis playing Christopher Pride, a businessman who's being sent to Paris for a year to work on a project. He want's his fiance Dr. Elizabeth Acord (played by Janet Leigh) to go with him to Paris, but she's dedicated to her psychiatric practice and doesn't want to leave three of her patients - Mary Lou (played by Leslie Parrish), Susan (played by Mary Ann Mobley), and Anna (played by Gila Golan). These women are all extremely hostile towards men.

After getting advice from his best friend, Dr. Benjamin Mizer (played by James Best), Christopher decides the best way to get Elizabeth to leave her patients, is for him to help cure them. To do so, he impersonates the ideal man for each woman and gets them to fall in love with him. Of course, things don't go as planned for Christopher!

When many of us think of Saturday Morning Cartoons, we remember The Real Ghostbusters, Garfield & Friends, Transformers, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which are more or less aimed towards boys. Believe it or not, there were several cartoons for girls in the 1980s, such as My Little Pony, Maxie's World, Beverly Hills Teens, Rainbow Bright, She-Ra, and The Care Bears.

Recently, Mill Creek Entertainment re-released Horseland: The Complete Series to DVD with a brand-new cover art. As an added bonus, the set comes with a digital code that can be redeemed at www.millcreekent.com/redeem.

While some of you have probably heard of the series, I wasn't aware of it until I received a review copy. For some reason, I thought the series was from the 1990s, but after a quick internet search, I learned I was completely wrong. The series actually aired from 2006 to 2008 as part of the KOL Secret Slumber Party on CBS.  It lasted for three seasons with 39 total episodes. As you probably guess, the cartoon was made for girls who love horses and ponies.

The series centers on a group of kids (Sarah, Zoey, Chloe, Alma, Molly, Bailey, and Will) and their horses (Scarlet, Pepper, Chili, Button, Calypso, Aztec, and Jimber) at an incredible place called Horseland. The kids come to the ranch to practice their horse riding skills, compete with others, and learn from each other. Each episode finds the kids and their horses going on adventures or getting into some sort of trouble that requires them to use teamwork to get through it.

It's Saturday morning, but it's nowhere near the Saturday mornings that I experienced during my childhood. I remember getting up bright & early, fixing a bowl of a cereal, and turning on the old television set, so I could watch my favorite Saturday morning cartoons. Now thanks to the Children's Television Act, networks have long since abandoned animated programming in exchange for local news. Yes, many cable channels still air cartoons, but it's just not the same as it was in 1980s and the early 1990s.

One my favorite animated series is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which ran for 10 seasons. The series popularity (as well as the Playmates toyline) started to decline in the early 1990s; just around the time a ripoff of sorts arrived - Street Sharks!

Mattel released a line of mutant sharks action figures in 1994, which was mostly likely inspired by the success of TMNT. Of course to help sell the toys, a cartoon series was created! Produced by DIC Entertainment, the series aired from 1994 to 1997, lasting three seasons with a total of 40 episodes.

The premise of the series centered around two scientist, Dr. Robert Bolton and Dr. Luther Paradigm, who created a "gene-slammer" machine which can successfully mix aquatic creatures DNA with human DNA, creating anthropomorphic hybrids. Dr. Paradigm is mad and plans on using the machine to create his own species. He transforms Dr. Bolton into a creature, who escapes. Later, Dr Luther Paradigm lures Dr. Bolton's sons (John, Bobby, Coop, and Clint) into his lair and splices their DNA with sharks.

To make a long story short, John, Bobby, Coop, and Clint become mutant sharks. Most people would be freaked out by this, but they take it pretty well. Actually, they enjoy being mutants. John becomes Ripster, Bobby becomes Streex, Coop becomes Big Slammu, and Clint becomes Jab. Along with their pals Lena Mack and Bends, the brothers set out to stop Dr. Paradigm's (who becomes a
piranha mutant) evil plans.


A short-lived comic series from Archie Comics debuted in 1996. An animated spinoff,  Extreme Dinosaurs, debuted in 1997 for one season of 52 episodes.

Mill Creek Entertainment released the entire Street Shark series on DVD in 2013, but is now out-of-print. Not to worry, as they re-released "The Complete Series" early this year and for the very first time, the series is also available on Digital through the Mill Creek Entertainment website. A free digital code is included with the three-disc DVD set.

Directed & produced by Paul Hoen (Camp Rock 2), the film stars Milo Manheim, Meg Donnelly (ABC's American Housewife), Trevor Tordjman, Kylee Russell, Carla Jeffery, Kingston Foster, and James Godfrey.

ZOMBIES is set in the small community of Seabrook, where fifty years ago a lime soda plant explosion turned half of the population into zombies. Those who weren't infected built a wall to keep the zombies out and forcing them to live in their own community called Zombietown. Fast forward to the present, the government requires all zombies to wear "Z-Band" bracelets that sends  electromagnetic pulses to keep zombies from craving brains.

The film centers on Addison, a teenager who's excited to be starting a brand new year of school, as she's going to be trying out for the Seabrook High cheerleader team, which is lead by her cousin Bucky. Addison isn't exactly normal, as she actually has white hair, which was probably passed down to her from her grandfather who was bitten by a zombie, but her parents make her wear a blonde wig.

The first day of school also marks the very first time the high school will be allowing zombie teenagers to attend classes. Zed, Eliza, and Bonzo, along with a handful of other zombie teenagers, were excited about starting school at Seabrook High; well, that is until they actually arrived there. Ordered by the principal, all of the zombie students must attend classes in the basement. Also, zombies aren't allowed to join school activities, including sports. Now, this is a major disappointment for Zed because he was wanting to tryout for the Mighty Shrimp football team.

After the "zombie alarm" is accidentally set off, Addison bumps into Zed inside a "zombie bunker," and the two quickly begin a friendship. Later, Zed convinces the principal and the football coach into letting him join the team. Thanks to Eliza's help by hacking his "Z-Band" to make him more aggressive, Zed leads the team to several victories.

Despite becoming the school's football star, Bucky and a few other cheerleaders are determined to get  Zed and the rest of the zombie students kicked out of school.

The series centers on two pug puppy brothers, Bingo and Rolly, who live with their inventor owner, Bob, a robotic dog named A.R.F. I think I might have mentioned a time or two on here about my love for old horror movies, especially the ones made by Hammer Films. Well, with that being said, you can probably guess why I was excited when I learned that Mill Creek Entertainment would be releasing the 26-part documentary series "100 Years Of Horror" hosted by the late, great horror-icon Christopher Lee.

Originally released back 1996, "100 Years Of Horror" chronicles the history of horror movies from the early 1900s to the late 1970s. I'm not for sure why it was called "100 Years" when the producers skipped over the the films from the 1980s. Most of the movie clips featured are from the classic Universal monster flicks, Hammer Films, and other low-budget creature films. It features interviews with Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney Jr., Vincent Price, Peter Cushing, and Claude Rains. Additionally, there are interviews with Bela Lugosi, Jr.; Boris Karloff's daughter, Sarah Karloff; and Claude Rains' daughter, Jessica Rains.

The series was produced, written and directed by Ted Newsom, who created BBC's Flesh And Blood-The Hammer Heritage Of Horror.
