Billy's Answer:
Yes, but it was a long, long time ago. I've read The Notebook, Message in the Bottle, and A Walk to Remember; at some point, I concluded that the author didn't like happy endings, so I quit reading his works.
That was pretty much my take on him....to sad...I need some happiness
ReplyDeleteSince I only ever read one book by him, I didn't realize he had a trend for the bittersweet endings. Not really a fan of that, but whatever. Lol.

Have a GREAT day!

Not yet.. but maybe someday... :)
ReplyDeleteI sure do to this day. Part of its appeal is that the books are always set in the South (and I lived there for many years). But I also love his books. While some have sad endings, many have happy endings.
ReplyDeleteI have never read a book by Nicholas Sparks, but I would stop reading too if the endings were always unhappy. :)
