{Sunday Post} — Apocalypse Watch, The Monster of Florence, and The X-Files: Perihelion

What Am I Reading?

I know this sounds like a broken record, but I will play catch-up on reading and writing this month. I have a medium-sized chalkboard calendar and will use it to plan future review posts.

I'm still reading The Boyfriend and hope to finish it this morning. Next, I'll move on to The Herd because my review for a book blog tour is due on the 8th. Then, I'll read Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Asylum, Lies He Told Me, and Hiding Mengele.

What's New on the Bookshelf?

Once again, my local thrift store had empty shelves, dirt on the floor, and stuff scattered everywhere. There was a $1 fill-a-bag of books sale, but the bookshelves were lacking; nothing new, just the same old books from the previous weeks. Why the $1 sale? I have no idea why. The only book I got was a worn-out paperback, Apocalypse Watch by Robert Ludlum.

New eBook titles on my Kindle are The Fervor by Alma Katsu, The Wolf Gift by Anne Rice, The Monster of Florence by Douglas Preston and Mario Spezi, Haunted Heart: The Life and Times of Stephen King by Lisa Rogak, Quarry by Max Allan Collins, The Last to Vanish by Meghan Miranda, The Breaking Point by Daphne Du Maurier, The Rats by James Herbert, and The X-Files: Perihelion by Claudia Gray.

  1. Interesting you gave Blood Sugar one star! I'd love to hear why, lol.

  4. It's easy to get behind. I'm looking forward to the last week of the month, I'm off all week and it will allow me to catch up and maybe even get ahead. Getting ahead never lasts long though.

A lot of new reads on your Kindle. Have a great week!

  5. Looks like some fun books! Hope you enjoy -- and good luck with getting caught up. When something gets you running behind, it can be so difficult to get back up to speed.
