  Billy's Answer

Since modern critics frequently include their own political biases that have nothing to do with evaluating a work, I do not pay attention to so-called professional critics. I do occasionally read the reviews left by other bloggers because bloggers are readers first and foremost, aren't compensated for their opinions, and have more influence over readers.

  1. I agree! I personally have never liked professional reviews of almost anything. Movie critics always tore apart movies I loved. Even with other things in the world, I'd rather get an actual consumer's opinion on things rather than the people who made it or whatever. Blogger opinion all the way!

    Here's my BBH

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower :)

  2. Interesting answer, I've never thought about political bias in reviews before. I don't like the books critics promote, so it's definitely book bloggers for me!

  3. I also prefer the personal touch of reviewers, especially when I want to know how readers personally respond to a book, what the vibes are, etc. Because of my own work I do understand that professional critics are also bound by other rules etc., and sometimes I do enjoy reading critics as well, especially when it comes to literary fiction! I hope you have a lovely weekend :)

  4. Definitely bloggers - I am not a fan of professional reviews.

Bloggers are the best critics!! :)

  5. I think bloggers give their honest opinion too. Have a great weekend!

  6. I prefer book blogger reviews too. Have a great weekend. :)

  7. I agree. I trust Bloggers reviews more!

    Have a great weekend!
