I have a small collection of Karen Rose thrillers that I have yet to read, and my newest addition is Beneath Dark Waters.
At the last second, I stopped by the library late on Friday afternoon—and got five free books: Spirit Walk (Walk of the Spirits and Shadow Mirror) by Richie Tankersley Cusick, The Devil's Crossing by William W. Johnstone and J.A. Johnstone, When the Shooting Starts by William W. Johnstone and J.A. Johnstone, The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley, and The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley.
When I miss my regular thrift store excursion, folks take note. "It's not Monday," remarked one of the volunteers yesterday afternoon. What I can say is that I was busy last Monday and will be even busier this Monday. That store is a mess with loads of "junk" strewn around; they'll never sell any of it; better off putting it in a dumpster—and I'm being respectful.
The book section has winded down quite a bit, with mostly low-end romantic paperbacks. I picked up one 25-cent hardback—Clive Barker's Weaverworld.
Additionally, I picked up four ten-cent older paperbacks: Alfred Hitchcock Presents: Stories Not for the Nervous, The Man Next Door by Mignon G. Eberhart, The Listener by Theodora Du Bois, and The Gods Themselves by Isaac Asimov.
New eBooks on my Kindle include Star Trek: The Brave and the Bold: Book One and Book Two by Keith R.A. DeCandido, The Tale Teller by Anne Hillerman, Coldheart Canyon by Clive Barker, and Hell and Back by Craig Johnson.
Nie to see Ozzy. Bark at the Moon and Perry Mason two faves of mine.
ReplyDeleteI thought The PAris Apartment was pretty good.
I love seeing those old paperbacks
Yeah my family is now planning a super bowl party since Chiefs are in it again! Will be curious to see how many times the camera pans to Taylor for the real BIG game! *eyeroll*
ReplyDeleteNice new reads! I remember reading at least one book by Cusick some years ago! I remember enjoying it and was always curious about this particular one too! Hope you enjoy all your new reads!
Here's my StS
