find that the ground along the Indus is an ancient one with daemons and legends
far older than himself.

"These Savage Shores transports elements of Dracula to
the Silk Route of the 1700s, bringing that text’s themes of xenophobia into an
entirely new light and melding it with far older legends of India."
-- Paste Magazine
"...excellent. Well written and exquisitely drawn..." --
Nicholas Eames (Kings of the Wyld)
"... a lush horror story that devours colonialists." -- AV
Club
“… the book unleashes some gorgeous, ethereal splashes of supernatural majesty
and terror … 10/10” – AIPT
THESE SAVAGE SHORES is an unusually odd graphic novel that I read quickly. The story revolves around the East India Company and includes elements of folklore, war, vampires, and other supernatural horrors. I appreciated all five issues are included in one volume since I like to read a story in its entirety at once.
It has a fascinating multi-layered plot delivered through vivid dialogue and some gruesome, scary illustrations. It's not intended for youngsters; it is written and illustrated for adult readers.
Overall, I had a great time reading THESE SAVAGE SHORES and heartily endorsed it to other fans of graphic novels. ╌★★★★★
