  Billy's Answer

I have nothing against happily-ever-after endings. I guess if you spend a lot of money on a book and get a bad ending, you're probably going to be disappointed or downright mad. Then again, if the book has a happy ending, you'll be a happy camper and will more than likely read another book by the author.

  1. For me the "happily ever after" really depends on the genre. Not every story needs to end in the cliche "love, marriage, kids, a house, and no more worries ever". (Admittedly this is what I connect to "happily ever after". I do want a happy end for my characters, but that doesn't necessarily mean any of the above. Thanks for hosting and have a lovely weekend :)

  2. I do prefer a happy ending when it comes to true endings. I mean usually the books I read the heroes go through a lot of turmoil, so if they aren't happy and have some time off when all is said and done, I feel like there's no point to any of it.

  3. I do love a good "happily ever after"! I know, though, that some stories and some genres don't necessarily lend themselves to that. And if it's a series, I'm prepared for a little bit of a cliffhanger at the end of one book to get me sucked in to the next.

    Happy Friday!

  4. With the genre I normally read, rarely there is a 'happily ever after'. With that being said, a good happily ever after makes for a good change once in awhile. Have a great day ☕📚💜

  5. I think the best endings are 'happily ever afters' that hint at more to come.

  6. I want it to be earned, but depending on my mood will determine how they have to get there.
