  Billy's Answer

I've never read a WWII war novel. Now I've read several historical romances set during WWII and wasn't a big fan of them. The setting isn't my typical cup of tea. However, I'll be giving the WWII war genre a chance soon. Recently, I bought Task Force Baum by James D. Shipman at a Dollar Tree store. I'm planning on reading it this month.

  1. I have made changes to the January 7th prompt. Instead of ending on the 13th, it will end on the 10th. Why? I've decided to do away with the thumbnails subscription, which costs $20 per year. My current subscription ends on the 10th. So, this week's prompt will run from January 7th -10th. The schedule will go back to normal on the 14th, except we'll no longer be able to add thumbnails in the Mister Linky links.

  2. I enjoy historical romance but it's a time period that doesn't work for me either. I hope you enjoy your WWII book.

  3. Oh there are so many good WWII books. They are quite heavy though, because it was a heavy time. I recommend The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah.

    1. They are heavy duty books.

The Nightingale was fantastic. The Book of Lost Names by Kristin Harmel is another good one.

  4. There are a few sub-genres within historical romance that I haven't tried yet, such as historical romance fantasy that have piqued my interest.
