Billy's Answer
Background or side characters have a big chance of dying, so I would rather be the main character, somebody who defeats the villain and gets the girl in the end. In other words, I want to be James Bond. LOL!

I chose main character too! Sure they usually go through hell, but everything works out for them in the end! Plus, like you said, side/background characters are more likely to die!

Great question! I hadn't thought about side characters often dying - though I guess it depends on what genre you are reading.

ReplyDeleteI'd like to be the plucky side-kick. I do not have the luck or energy to be a main character.
ReplyDeleteBest side-character is Sam from Lord of the Rings. He wasn't the main character, but he was the hero of the story.
I answered next year's question LOL. Oh well, maybe I'll answer this years' next year. :-)
