There have been many books I have been disappointed with over the years. Two recent titles that come to mind are Cari Mora by Thomas Harris and Highfire by Eoin Colfer.

    1. Am I enjoying my current read? Well, not really. I am reading Shadows of Foxworth by V.C. Andrews (Andrew Neiderman).

  3. These days I tend not to read reviews of hyped books and let myself gravitate to them naturally. If there's one that I want to read but know it's a hype author, I won't read any reviews so I don't go into it with higher expectations.

    Here's my BBH

    1. There are way to many "paid" reviews from so-called mainstream critics. I don't trust them anymore.

  5. I just don't read books that I'm not interested in, and I love all the books I read, I'm not picky. I'm very lucky there!

  6. I'm sorry to hear that Highfire was disappointing to you. I have that one on my TBR pile. Sometimes it helps me though when I come across a not so positive view of a book I want to read--it helps me keep my expectations more realistic. Thak you for hosting, Billy!
