At one point, maybe to break the heavy silence, I asked Yvon if he believed that the policeman's description of the accident was true.

My Thoughts
Gallery Books released the newest Flowers in the Attic prequel, Shadows of Foxworth, this week. Typically, I would have requested a review copy from the publisher, but because of the virus, I haven’t been requesting any ARCs. Instead, I ordered the book from Amazon. The last three ghostwriter titles have been horrible, and, so far, this one seems to be going that route. Nevertheless, I will finish reading it over the weekend.
I fell out of love with the newer V.C. Andrews books. I just don't think her family is doing her stories justice these days. Each newer book I've read feels like a repeat of a past one. Hope you still enjoy them though. I added you to the linky. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI don't believe her family has any say on the plots anymore. As long as the publisher keeps renewing Andrew Neiderman's contract, then we're going to continue to get more bad titles. I've been very critical of the the recent ghostwritten titles for a good reason - they're horribly written. They need to either stop writing books under V.C. Andrews's name or hire a new writer.
DeleteI am sorry this one isn't proving to be good. I read Flowers in the Attic many years ago and never continued with the series beyond that. I hope your next read is much better. Have a great weekend and stay safe and well.
