Monday Morning Madness: Annabelle & Horror Books

It seems autumn has indeed finally arrived in the midwest as the leaves are falling from the trees and the weather is cooler.

Anyway, just like last week I'm combining my Sunday Post (a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer) and It's Monday! What Are You Reading? (a weekly meme hosted by The Book Date) into one single post.

What Am I Currently Reading?

I didn't get a whole lot of reading finished done last week because I was busy with other things. As I'm writing this, I'm on page 202 of The Institute by Stephen King, which I read quite a bit of this morning. I'm really interest in it so I'm hoping it won't take me more than two days to finish it. I've actually got a reading plan/schedule for this month and it's extremely crammed. My next reads will be Stranger Things: Suspicious Minds and Buckskin by Robert Knott. Then I have 13 horror titles I'll be reading and reviewing later this month.

In the Mail

After having a little dry spell of getting ARCS, I received four titles in the mail last week: Goosebumps SlappyWorld: Revenge of the Invisible Boy, Max Einstein: Rebels With A Cause by James Patterson & Chris Grabenstein, A Cross To Kill by Andrew Huff, and Summer's Promise by Barbara Cameron. I'm planning on squeezing in all the books this month. Summer's Promise and A Cross To Kill are for upcoming October book tours. I had requested to review Max Einstein: Rebels With A Cause prior to its release date on Sept. 9th, so I'm a bit surprise that I received a copy. The Goosebumps book is really short so I should be able to get it reviewed this week.

Also, I received the Blu-ray of Annabelle Comes Home, which I'll be posting my review tomorrow.

  1. Looks like you got some nice surprise books. I don't read horror often. I'm pretty easy to scare. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
