  Billy's Answer

I checked out the western Six-Horse Hitch by Janice Holt Giles many years ago at the local library and I ended up buying a paperback copy on eBay. Later, I found the title in an old Reader's Digest Condensed Book at a Thrift Store. A few years ago, the library was having a big book sale and I bought the exact hardback I had originally read.

  1. Oh wow! That is awesome!! To find the same book you checked out at the library sale! I remember mine was from our school library and wasn't as savvy in my book finding ways as a child. I happened across it at Sams as a teenager and told my mom it would make a great birthday gift!

    1. I have also found a few John Saul titles at a book sale a few years ago and I'm pretty sure they're the same ones I've checked out in the past. This year I bought 20th Century Ghosts by Joe Hill for $2 which was the exact same book I checked out a few years back.

  2. I'm ashamed to say that I can’t remember the last time I actually visited my local library to borrow a book (I've been for art exhibitions I the upstairs gallery and used the reference books in the non-lending section). 😦 They just didn’t hold any books in my favourite genre; paranormal romance. Then I got my Kindle and haven’t looked back.

I hope you enjoy your weekend. Here's my BBH Post

    1. My local library went through a remodel recently and they very seldom get any "new" titles in; though I haven't visited there in several months, maybe things have changed this then.

  3. I've found many of my favorites in Librarys. More than half of the books I own were first borrowed from the library!
