  Billy's Answer

Yep! I own multiple copies of the same books. Now these titles are the ones I really love, so I own hardcovers and paperbacks of the same novel. For example, I have a few different copies of Stephen King's The Shining, but they all have different covers.

  1. That's pretty much why I have multiple copies of the same book too! It's all the covers! Other times my name/blog name is mentioned in the back of a paperback copy, so I'll buy that too even if the cover is the same as the hardcover!

    Here's my Book Blogger Hop

    Have a GREAT day!

    1. Lucky you, I've never had my name or my blog mentioned in a book!

  2. Yeah, I can see why you'd want multiples of a King book. :-)

  3. I just bought my second copy of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, but it is a book I love and I came across a 1st edition in a charity shop today for a few pennies. What's a girl to do? :)

    1. I've never heard of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. What's it about?

There's nothing wrong with having multiple copies of a title that you love.

  4. Lucky you! For me the space on the shelves is a critical issue))

    1. I can understand that issue. I've been wanting to go through my book collection and donate the ones that I don't want anymore, just so I can have the space to keep new books.

  5. That makes sense, different editions of favorite books! Especially if they have different covers!

  6. I'm so sorry I pasted my link three times! I wasn't sure how to do it and I was getting pretty confused lol. If you can delete them that's great. I think most people have different editions of books, especially if the covers are different and beautiful.

  8. I don’t own more than one copy of any book per se but I do own different formats of the same book if that's what you mean. For example, I’ve got the paperback versions of Holly Bell’s Amanda Cadabra Mysteries as well as the Kindle versions. I own the Kindle version of Jared (The Protectors #2) and also the audible version so that I can access my favourite reads wherever I am.

I'm sure the collector in me would also want a favourite book in multiple paperbacks if the cover changed. ;-)

    1. Yes, owning an eBook and a print counts as having more than one copy. As a collector, I do love owning more than one copy of my favorite titles.

  9. I can certainly understand the multiple copies of a Stephen King novel, especially since you are fan. :) I have copies of different formats, like a print and digital or digital and audio. I don't make this a habit. However, in certain situations, it is helpful.

    1. I never seek out to purchase an additional copy of a book. I like just randomly finding one at a used book store, thrift store, or garage sale. There's nothing wrong with having a print and a digital copy of the same title. There have been times when I've reviewed an ARC eBook and I liked it so much that I purchased the print version.

  10. It's hard to resist buying multiple copies when the various covers are so appealing!
